One drop of MMS1 will only show a yellow color, but 3 drops will show a very dark yellow/brown color if using 50% citric acid or 4% HCL.
I would only use lemon juice as an acid activator if that is all I had, as it does not contain much citric acid. And, there is more citric acid in purchased bottled lemon juice (perhaps twice as much) than in the fresh juice of a lemon.
If you can get some 4% HCL, I think you will be able to activate your MMS more fully than when using lemon juice .

You did not say, but I assume you activate for 3 minutes. Another problem with lemon juice is that it is an antioxidant. Lemon juice will activate MMS somewhat, but then it will reduce the CLO2 content because it is an antioxidant, too! I know that Jim says to use 5 parts lemon juice to 1 part MMS, but I have read one chemist who said to use as much 8 parts bottled lemon juice to 1 part MMS.

I bought from 3 different suppliers from the list mentioned on this site.
None of them turn very dark when doing 4 drops of MMS1 & 50% citric acid.
When I do 50+ drops then it will be dark brown.
Does this mean my MMS1 isn't strong enough?

Here are two photos of 4 drops of MMS and 4 drops of 50% citric acid. One was activated in a shot glass which has a dimple at the bottom center. The second photo also shows 4 drops of MMS and 4 drops of 50% citric acid this time in a test tube. The difference is that the surface area of the test tube solution is much less than the shot glass dimple area solution, although the volume of both is the same. The test tube solution is constrained into more of a cube volume whereas the shot glass volume is spread out and thin in depth so it appears yellow. You are viewing through less solution in the shot glass than the test tube making it appear lighter in color.
