In the article about ebola that has been sent out in section about the use of MMS2.at times the name hydrochlorous acid is used and then hypochloric acid. As a non chemistry trained person it makes me wonder. Is this the same substance with 2 different names? Are they two different substances Which one is HCl, or a they both HCl.

When using HCl, (bought from a advised supplier) to make CDH I found that there is a white residue on the bottom of the bottle. When I shake the bottle it is very cloudy. Do others have the same experience or have I been using the wrong substance?

They are different substances

I don't know about cloudy HCL - but if it's from an approved supplier and you've made CDH with it - I wouldn't worry about it. If it's 4% HCL (not the 30% stuff) you could try running it through a stocking. If it's the ~30% HCL don't mess with it until you've diluted it down

► MMS2 is calcium hypochlorite. When mixed with water it turns into a solution of hypochlorous acid, and this is an acid that the human body naturally produces.

Hydrochloric acid (HCl or HCL) is an acid activator we use to make MMS1, CDS or CDH. This chemical is different that MMS2 and we don't want to confuse the two.

Not sure what the white particles are you have in your bottle of CDH. You could filter it out by pouring off the top amount of solution or filter through a brown (not bleached white) coffee filter if you want to make it look nicer.

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
