Hello folks there:
I would like to make hydrochloric acid myself. Here in this country I live in, I could buy muriatic acid to make Hydrochloric acid.
If someone can confirm that muriatic acid is hydrochloric acid, questions are: what type of muriatic acid should I buy? at which concentration? food grade? and, how would I make it into 4% Hcl?
Thank you much.

Muriatic acid is hydrochloric acid. Get the purest you can. It is very corrosive so use eye and skin protection to work with it. It may be about 30%, ! ounce of 30% plus two ounces of water = 10% solution for CDS. 1 cc of 30% plus 6.5cc of water make a 4% solution.

Thank you Lyd.
I did not know that you need 10% H.A to make CDS. Anyway I use CDH, that is why I need 4% H.A.
Could you please explain why 1 cc of 30% C.A. + 6.5 cc of H2O make 4% solution?
Ciao
