Hi please help! (mms for my dog)

Has anyone ever encountered or heard of needing to dilute 1 drop of mms to 1/32??? I have diluted 1 drop to 1/16 right now, but still my dog seems to be getting very runny stools... I stopped for a couple of days as it was really bad and my vet prescribed antibiotics, but he really deteriorated... even though his stools got better... now today I have been giving him 1/16 of a drop - only 4 times, and though he really picked up - even had a little appetite for dinner - his stools have become runny again! What should I do?

thanks in advance

Hi!
I am sorry you are still having trouble. I would suggest that you use pepto and also put pumpkin in his food to firm up the stool. The MMS seems to be giving him energy and that alone is an good and emotionally uplifting thing. I really hate to say it but perhaps the cancer has gone to far plus the dog's age. That evil thought said, if I were in your shoes I would continue the MMS as it seems to give energy and make the dog more content. At the same time try and firm up the stool. Understand what I am trying to say? This time around do not stop the MMS. You are giving so little and he derives energy from it. At least this is what I would do.
Hoping for the best. Please stay in touch for better or worse.

Just had another thought. Perhaps the bowel bacteria has been destroyed? Perhaps that is another avenue to search out?

health to all
Pepto would be good for upsets - but I have found with my dogs that giving them Kaopectate works better to firm up the stool, plus it doesn't turn it black like Pepto does.

I agree with horsefeathers about the pumpkin, but you can also give them in addition , cooked rice - don't add anything to it. The rice will help firm the stool, by absorbing the liquid.
There is also a possibility that the loose stool is caused by a parasite. Have you had your dog wormed lately? I had problems with my male and nothing I did got rid of the runny stools, the rice and pumpkin and kaopectate helped. but the vet did a fecal test for Guardia parasite and the
antibiotics finally stopped it.
Like Horsefeathers said about the bowel bacteria being destroyed - that is a possibility and your dog would need probiotics - Yogurt works good for that or you can get probiotics for animals - to help build up the good bacteria.
Good luck - just don't give up

HI all,
so sorry it'd been so long, have just had a crazily busy time.... I just wanted to thank you all for your help in how to treat my dog Duke with mms, because he is doing so well! :) Not only did mms bring his lump right down, but he's also lost some much needed weight, his fur is puppy soft once again (he's 13 and it had become really dry and brittle) and it seems like his cataracts are improving too!!! He also has his old spring back in his step and I can't tell you how happy we all are!!!! :) :) :)

so thank you once again wish you all lots of love and light XXX
