"Vitamin C has a short half-life in the blood."

A "half-life" is the amount of time it takes for half of the vitamin C to be depleted from the blood stream. The half-life of vitamin C in the blood is 30 minutes.

This means that every 30 minutes there is only one-half of the vitamin C left!

As an example, say you start with 1,250 mg of vitamin C in your blood stream. In 30 minutes you have only 625 mg left. After 30 more minutes you have only 312 mgs. In another 30 minutes you’re down to 156 mg (that’s after only 1 hour and 30 minutes).

If you continue reducing by half every 30 minutes, six hours after you took the initial amount of 1,250 mg of vitamin C, the amount left in your blood stream is less than 0.5 mg. Basically there is nothing left.

Actually, I think you might be incorrect re: the 30 minutes, GJPlaceres - although, that might be the vitamin C in food.

I was reading a book re: liposomal Vitamin C and the author there (an MD) stated that lthe half-life in the blood is from 24 to 48 hours.

The book is by Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD, called Primal Panacea. I recognize that this is the liposomal C, which is much stronger than regular C - but on the whole, I would avoid vitamin C and ascorbic acid, as these are 2 that inactivate MMS.

Pam

I did not write The book. I just share Information.

Like this one

Chlorine dioxide is rapidly absorbed after oral admin, and plasma levels peak within 1 hr after dosing. 43% of admin dose was excreted in urine and feces within 72 hr. None was detected in expired air. The plasma half-life was ... 44 hr in rats.
[National Research Council. Drinking Water & Health, Volume 4. Washington, DC: National Academy Press, 1981. 174]**QC REVIEWED**

I also believe that we need to avoid vitamin C.

I didn't think you wrote the book. I think the information on the website is incorrect. We are in agreement on avoiding Vitamin C.

I use vitamin C topically for brown spots, and it goes dormant after 30 minutes.

Nowadays I use mms on brown spots as it works with one dose instead of several.

You advoid vitamin C all day long, or only in conjunction with mms?

Is vitamin C or any antioxidant avoided with the enema, douche, ear, nose, etc. protocols or just when you swallow it? Does the mms in the sinus rinse or enema come in contact with ingested vitamin C?
Thanks, Emily

This is my own opinion, did not represent the forum opinion. If your application is to the skin that do not have any contact with body fluid, is ok. But if MMS going to be in contact with the normal fluid of the body then is going to be a lost of time.
