I am interested in this. I also make soap. I think the alkalinity of the lye and MMS would create a mix that would not trace if mms is added to the water, but I don't know if mms added after trace would work. That would awesome if we could make soap with it. -Emily

I think the MMS powder could be added to a powder soap mixture. For example, I make dishwasher and cloths washing soap but don’t add the water that is recommended. I just use it as a powder. I just wonder how to add MMS to soaps that use lye in the recipe.

Very interesting! I've been around MMS since 2009 - I've never heard of it being used in soap - ever! I'm not so sure that it's possible - but if you don't try because "that's impossible" you never know for sure.

Of course to convince the forum members that you have developed a soap that delivers chlorine dioxide - you will have to test the soap in action by testing with CD test strips.

The test strips you will need are: www.grainger.com/Grainger/LAMOTTE-Test-StripsTesting-Parameter-Chlorine-4EVX3?Pid=search

Good luck!

If the SC powder was added to dry soap powder (and the soap would activate the SC in the presence of water), it might work. Sounds like a similar idea to the new upcoming MMS. Adding water starts the activation in both. One used externally in a bath and the other internally.
