I would like to learn how to use this Hydrochloric Acid instead of the Citiric Acid.
IF THIS product, brand is OK, what values should I enter in the Dilution Calculator????

Concentration (start)xVolume (start)=Concentration (final)xVolume (final) C1V1C2V2
THANK YOU!

For 4% HCL Activator:

If you have 32% HLC stock solution, you would want to add 12.5 ml of 32% HCL to 87.5ml of distilled or purrified water.

Concentration(start) 32mg x Volume(start)12.5ml =Concentration(final) 4mg xVolume(final) 100ml

Dimensiondali

Is that 12.5ml of the 32% and 87.5ml of the water makes 100ml of total solution at 4%

Or is it 12.5ml of the 32% and 100ml of the water dilutes it to 4%

I believe it's the former, but just wanted to clarify since we have some mathematically challenged forum members (of which I admit to being one). :)

Hey Pam,

You first assumption was correct: "Is that 12.5ml of the 32% and 87.5ml of the water makes 100ml of total solution at 4%"

Because our target is 100ml of 4% HCL solution.

So this means you would subtract the 12.5(HCL volume) from 100(target volume) which equals to 87.5(distilled water)

Finally when you add 12.5ml of 32% HCL Solution to 87.5ml of water, you end up with 100ml of 4% HCL solution.

Kind Regards,
Cesar

Last night I decided to try hydrochloric acid so I guessed one tablespoon hydrochloric acid to 8 tablespoons water should pull up around 12.5%. I didn't need test strips as when I added 6 drops MMS to the 6 drops 12.5% hydrochloric acid the mix turned a deep yellow very quickly. I downed it with half a glass of water and what absolutely amazed me was that there was no rotten chlorine smell or taste and it didn't turn my stomach upside down...it was actually a very pleasant drink. It was powerful too. I felt the slight sting down the throat when some poor little critters got the zap.

I can thoroughly recommend it pardners.

The HCl protocols I have seen have all called for using a 4% or at most 5% mixture of HCl.
