Do I have the right measurements??? was created by carmen7
Friends can you tell me if I have the right measurements?
Making MMS at home – my goal is make small batch to practice, (one 4 oz bottle).
♦ Sodium chlorite FLAKES (not powder) : 632.8 grams divide by 13 bottles = 48.67 grams per bottle (bottle of 4oz)
Water: 57.6oz(1627.2 grams)divided by 13 bottles = 4.43 ounces per bottle
Information obtain at

If your math is correct, it's probably OK, assuming you took it from the book, or Mark's video. I always weigh mine, just to be sure. I have a gram scale that weighs .1 grams

Carmen7, that is correct. Here is a simple way to find the weight of the NaClo2 or distilled water if you know the other - I believe this formula came from Steve:
"Just use the number 2.57
Multiply the amount of Sodium Chlorite by 2.57 and the answer will be how much water you need. (weight)
48.7 grams NaClo2 x 2.57 = 125.2 grams distilled water
Divide the amount of water you want to use by 2.57, and this is how much Sodium Chlorite you use. (weight)
125.2 grams distilled water / 2.57 = 48.7 grams NaClo2
This is so much simpler, and it's right every time.
We arrive at the same answer, and it's one simple step.
Use the same units in the calculations"

These are all weight measurements, Carmen. In other words
48.7 grams of sodium chlorite (by weight) multiply by 2.57 and that will tell you the weight of the water you need.
