HI, Tom. It seems that strangles is a bacterial infection. MMS kills it on contact.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strangles

For horses, I use CDS @ 200ml into 5 gal water, as the only source of water and let him drink it on his own time.
that ratio gives ~ 30 parts per million concentration.

Please keep us posted - We're all interested in the results!

I would also suggest spraying CDS on with DMSO if possible. From what I have been told the strangles needs to burst and drain otherwise the horse will internalize it and possibly break out again? Also, apparently, the horse can become a carrier even though the animal is not showing any symptoms. This is what I have been told as we had horses boarded and the barn had a strangles break out. No more horses in or out for that season!

Gross as it sounds, keep that snot cleaned up. Use gloves and bleach water or MMS water. Also, Vets say no, but I have seen it happen time and time again. IT IS CONTAGIOUS TO PEOPLE! IT IS CALLED STREP THROAT! So with that hollered out there please keep your immune system strong!

All the best to you!
Denise
