burning stump used shovel to move hot coals - shovel tipped over, grabbed wrong end to retrieve it burned 4 fingers and thumb. used all remaining cds - pain. only way to relieve pain is to keep fingers in large cup filled with ice water, have aloe but it washes off in the water. ant advice sandy 352-446-0695

How about Calendula cream or ointment?

Found this on the Web:
Other Home Treatment Measures for a First-Degree Burn or Sunburn - Topic Overview

There is no evidence-based research to support the safety and effectiveness of the following home treatment measures, but they may help relieve your burn symptoms.
Soak a washcloth in water to make a cool compress.
Add oatmeal [0.5 cup (120 mL)] or baking soda to a cool water bath.
Use a moisturizer or light powder to smooth areas where skin rubs against skin to prevent chafing.
Use calamine lotion for itching.
Cut a raw potato and spread the juice on the burned skin.
Use chamomile diluted in warm water or brewed into a tea to sponge on the burned skin.
Add 2 to 3 drops of lavender essential oil to 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to smooth over the burned skin.

Avoid breaking open any blisters, and watch for any signs of a skin infection while using home treatment measures.

the clay in my water is helping and time out of water is extending. I tried honey and aloe. when I can take it out of water for 2 minutes I will try coconut oil.

Sandy, Jim recommends unactivated MMS on burns - but no longer than 5 minutes... The alkalinity will offset the products produced with the burn.

Ice water is good - you don't HAVE to leave it on for 5 minutes, just no longer than 5 minutes. I'm sorry you're in so much pain.

i was finally able to apply mms for about 3 minutes. my thumb and forefinger are the worst. My fingers are out of the ice water and those two fingers are fondling ice cubes.
