In the general instructions on Jim Humble's site, "wait time" for activation is 3 minutes. However, for protocols 1000 and 2000 I noticed the wait time for activation is 20 seconds. What is the significance and how important is this difference?

Also, I have added MMS2 after 3 days but am having difficulty tolerating it. It causes considerable abdominal pain. I am taking MMS2 in 0 size capsules (1/4 full) along with eight ounces of a mixture of aloe vera juice and water. This prevents me from burping the MMS2 and hopefully is giving my stomach some protection. I also noticed that my MMS2 is more granular in form than being in powder form. Is there any difference? It is 73% calcium hypocorite.

The activation time is determined by the strength of the activator.
Lemon Juice, Lime Juice, Vinegar (10% citric acid)- all have an activation of 3 minutes.

50% citric acid has an activation time of 20 seconds

If you chose to activate with 4% HCl, originally it was stated that it was best to activate 30-40 seconds, but Charlotte's work has shown that a 60 second activation is actually optimal.

I'd definitely back down on the MMS2 if it were me - if I were starting it, I'd start with 1/16, or maybe just a couple of grains of MMS2, a couple of times a day, and work up very slowly.
