I wonder if cayenne pepper is a problem when taking MMS? There are so many healthy foods that have antioxidants, which are said to interfere with the Budwig Diet also. But cayenne pepper is mentioned by the Budwig Center website for its health properties and no mention of any conflict. I find it very confusing, to know which antioxidants need to be avoided, since most healthy fruits and vegetables have them in different amounts.

I don't necessarily expect an answer, since there doesn't seem to be any clear information on the subject that I've found online. Maybe it's only antioxidant supplements and high sources of vitamin C and E that one should worry about. That's the only clear information that I've found.

well... since you asked AND there is no answer....
I have been pondering this oxidant anti oxidant "thing" a while now.
My thought is that to what benefit are anti oxidants when we want to oxidize that which is unhealthy for us.
MMS oxidizes that in the range of less than .95 of a Volt as well as oxidizes the acidic range of the PH scale.
Oxidizing is what cleans out our system of unwanted intruders so to what benefit are anti oxidants when we want to oxidize?
Are we being fed a line of bull regarding the true value of oxidants and anti oxidants?
In order to keep us unhealthy at at drug co's mercy to symptom manage?

Maybe antioxidants are beneficial because not all oxidation is good for us. MMS is mild and not harmful. Other oxidizers, create free radicals that harm cells and DNA.

This video is long but Andreas Kalcker talks about trying to achieve a balance of oxidants / antioxidants

My theory is that for the limited time I'm doing MMS, avoiding antioxidants is not going to seriously negatively affect me. When I had my gastric bypass surgery there were people pushing vitamins like crazy, because they were the vitamins primarily absorbed in the part of my gut that were bypassed. Well, I've found, over time, (with poor supplementation) and with repeated blood tests that it takes YEARS to deplete those vitamins.

3 weeks, a month, 6 months - I am not worrying about those kinds of time frames.

What do you think about curcumin with piperine in therapeutic dosses. Both are said to be powerful antioxidants. Would this interfere with MMS?

I, personally, would avoid all high antioxidants during the protocol. I mean, why do an oxidation therapy if you want to weaken the process with an antioxidant.

That said, I've known people who have so bought into the antioxidant theory that they panic without their "belief" - so I tell then to take at night 2 hours after your last dose and 10-12 hours before your first dose of MMS.

Yes, I have no strong opinion about antioxidants. In independent studies the curcumin with piperine are proving to be an effective cancer therapy that is anti-inflammatory in nature. So I was hoping I could recommend it to someone while they are taking MMS. If there is no conflict, one could provide support to the other. There are so many different substances labeled antioxidants, that I think just calling something an antioxidant doesn't necessarily mean it will cause a conflict. But I've never read about anyone taking both therapies.

Hello, thanks for your information.

Are natural sources of vitamin C a problem? Such as whole fruit in smoothies with strawberries, oranges, grapefruit and other fruit with significant amounts of vitamin C? Many vegetables are high in vitamin C also. Broccoli has as much vitamin C as an orange.

This never seems to be clear, and wasn't addressed in the 29 reasons posted by Archbishop Grenon. Thanks.
