Hi Guys,

I took Jim Humble's advice he gave me on using 50 drops or more per gallon of water to disinfect vegatables here in Bolivia (South America), but at this rate my MMS will not last as long as needed. This is much stronger than most have posted, but I think he is right as we got sick on lesser amounts (16 drops per gallon-4ppm approx.)

So I have one question about MMS2 I was hoping you could help me with. I read that if you make it about 20 PPM you can disinfect even very dirty water. So I decide to make my disinfectant water 20 PPM of MMS 2 for the vegetable to sit in for about 30 minutes. MY MMS2 is 78% from A2Z health products.

Do you think this will work to disinfect the vegtables, etc?

I use about 1/4 teaspoon of MMS per 2.5 gallons of water which actually makes it closer to 25 PPM (to my understanding anyways).

HI Steve,

Thankyou for the link. They use this term TAC1 (μg/ml), could you tell me what it means. When they put ug/ml 100-150 is that similar or the same thing as 100-150 PPM.?

James

Hi Steve,

I realize now that the ug/ml of 100 is about 100 ppm as I searched it out.

So that means most veggies can take between 100 to 200 ppm of Calcium Hypochlorite. Pretty high, but good to know.

Do you have any idea if they are soaking the veggies or just spraying them off? Obviously spraying them off would be less potent and need high ppm.
They did not say how long to soak or if they were even soaking.

I looked for about an hour online for more info, but could find nothing about procedure, how long -soaking vs. spraying off.

So I thought I would ask you again to see if you know more.

For example if I where to soak them for 30 minutes do you think I could use the lower limits or even less like 60 ppm. It just seems high amounts, but then again maybe they never soak like I am.

Any thoughts?

Thank you soo much Steve,
James

P.S. I have been trying to know what really works for awhile now and your the first to have any detailed info from a reliable source.

Hi Steve,

I tried to test my mms2 in water for ppm with chlorine dioxide test strips (MM1 itest strips). It seemed to work perfectly and seems to be in the right range and all. Do you think I am getting correct info?

James
