:(
I've been using MMS1 to treat my 11 1/2 y.o., 90#, Lab/Hound "fur-kid" for GME (granlomatosis menengal encephilitous - sp???) since his diagnosis back in mid-May; and, with the exception of one relapse in mid-July (when I screwed up and took him off for 2 days), he's been doing miraculously well over these past 8 months. (Typical diagnosis to death for GME is 8 days; and, the survival record is 44 days.) I guess I let the doses too far apart on Mon. (MMS won't actually CURE GME; since, it's caused by a microsporidia [e.cuniculi], which is too large for MMS to kill. It's just been keeping his immune system up enough to keep him in remission...) Tues. morning, he refused to drink his dose, which he usually asks me for; and, he seemed VERY disoriented. I tried putting 3 (unactivated) drops into an empty capsule; and, tried getting it down his throat. He managed to squirm enough to get it worked out; and, bit the capsule w/his back teeth. I'm not sure if any leaked out; since, all I'd had around to use was a 000 capsule. He has been refusing to drink anything since I dosed him around midnight Mon./Tues., even water. I've been having to both dose him and hydrate him w/a syringe since Tues. morning.

I've been supplimenting activated MMS1 w/transdermal, activated MMS1 and DMSO; since, he REALLY HATES the syringe, even w/some tubing on the end, to make it easier to get into his mouth. I'm considering adding DMSO to the MMS (protocol 1000+); but, I'm concerned about the rubber on the end of the plunger and the tubing (more of a plastic than rubber.) I thought I run it past here before I tried it, to see what the "general opinion" would be...

Anyone have any ideas???

Wow, unactivated MMS in a capsule? I am wondering if it burned anything on the way down and is a part of the problem. It's HIGHLY alkaline.

I've questioned that myself... Definitely NOT the brightest thing I've ever done. I've been putting just sodium chlorite into the bullion for about 4~5 months now; but, that's in enough liquid to not pose any problems. I was sort of freaked out that I'd over-slept; especially after just 3 doses on Mon.; so, I jumped up to do his meds without taking time to "get the cobwebs out of my brain." (My blood pressure dropping too low when I'm asleep has been a life-long problem. Normally, I allow for AT LEAST an hour; and, a couple of energy drinks, before I try to go from horizontal to vertical. Otherwise, I "walk into door jams," "trip over air," and spend the rest of the day feeling like I have an axe stuck in my head...) He was standing in the corner, next to the dog door, looking even more dazed than I was; so, I got his meds ready and tried to call him over. He just kept standing in the corner, with the same dazed look. (Odd; since, he'll usually come at a pretty brisk clip, even if he's on the other end of the property. I went over and turned him around by his collar; and, set the bowl down in front of him. He's NEVER refused it before; and, generally, he winds reminding me, if I lose track of time... I'n my discombobulated state, all I could think of needing to get it into him FAST... If I'd been thinking, I'd have at least activated it; but, the empty caps were sitting there; so, I grabbed one of them, put 3 drops in it, made sure it was tightly closed, coated it with cream cheese, and tried to get it down him... It works well w/the wormer that they hate the taste of... He wasn't in the mood to swallow ANYTHING, though. His teeth are pretty dull at his age; and, the bite mark was more of just a compression on the dry end, rather than a puncture; so, I just smeared some of the cream cheese over it and got it as far down his throat as I could. It went right down that time. I offered him water right after that; but, he did the same as with the dose I'd originally made up for him... I fished out a syringe and spent close to an hour getting about 8 oz. of distilled water into him. By the next dose, I'd dug out my citric acid; so, it got actived; then, mixed w/about 8oz of water. (Since he wasn't drinking, I was bumping up the water, in hopes of preventing him herx'ing.) I've been trying to follow the same up to the present; and, when I can't do this every couple of hours, "patching him." I'm thinking back to the relapse he had in July, when he (very literally) been comatose. I hadn't stopped to think about the plunger on the syringe being rubber, I just knew that he was beyond even having a lick reflex; so, I just mixed 5 or 6 drops of dmso into 6 activated drops of MMS1 and 20cc's of distilled water; then, kept "recirculating" it (using a shallow tv dinner tray) until it was gone. Each round took about a half an hour to complete; then I'd take a half hour break; and, start back over. Midway through the 3rd round, I finally started getting a lick reflex. Shortly after that, he opened his eyes, and I was able to help him raise his head enough for him to drink the rest from the tray. After that, he was able to drink his subsequent doses... It was only later that I got to wondering about what kind of rubber was on the end of that plunger... He came out of that relapse in pretty good shape, with the exception of a (new) aversion to being around ANY sort of power tool. (All it took for him to immediately hit the dog door was for me to pick up even my cordless drill or electric stapler. If I was using my regular drill; or, any sort of saw, he'd wind up halfway across the field! None of these had ever bothered him before...) Other than that, he seemed like he was doing GREAT! He was even running like a 4 yo dog.

This is a bit off topic; but, while typing this, I'm thinking about that bag of a different food I had to get, because my regular feed store had closed early... I wish I still had the bag - I'm really wondering if it might not have had ascorbic acid in it, as a preservative... I just called WalMart, to see if it did; but, they were out of that particular brand and wouldn't check the pallets that came off of tonight's truck. I'm not sure it would explain his current condition; since, he hasn't been eating since Tues. (I've been giving him a little honey a few times a day, to get SOMETHING into him; but, he's refusing even canned food.) I could explain the initial relapse, though...

In the meantime, I'm still wondering about the safety of using that syringe and tubing when I want to mix a few drops into the activated MMS. Some of what I've read has given my the impression that dmso might help it to get across the blood brain barrier, which might increase the odds of getting directly to the microsporidia... I'm running out of places to put it transdermally; and, I'd prefer to be able to save those for when I can't get anything into him, even with the syringe. (The tubing has helped; but, it's still "quite a project" even with the tubing.)
