Hi, I am worried about DMSO oxidizing upon contact to air and forming "harmful peroxides." How much contact to air does it need, for how long, and how much of that needs to be consumed for it to become toxic.

Let's say I make a cup of tea, place a half teaspoon of DMSO in it and leave the tea out, and keep it in the fridge for a day or two uncovered... would that pose a risk? Also, if I keep the DMSO in a fairly empty dropper bottle.. will that oxidize within the bottle?

It is better to keep the DMSO in it's bottle without mixing it with anything until just before you are going to use it. (The only exception would be diluting it in advance to 70% or 50% with distilled water.)

It traditionally is stored in HDPE bottles, so it should be safe to store it that way. Adi, you may want to get Dr. Morton Walker's book, DMSO, Nature's Healer - it's what I call the bible of DMSO. <G>

Our use of DMSO is in microdosing - again, drops - added just before you're going to ingest it - or putting it on as a spray or wash on top of MMS or CDS- there have been no adverse reports of using it with MMS or CDS.
