I tried to purify HCL. Left it in the container for 3 weeks. I think I need to put a gasket between the lid and main container. When I tried to use the HCL, I barely smelled the reaction at all.
Then, I had an idea. I know that some use citric acid in their MMS, I thought: "since other acids do the trick, and I've already poured my sodium chlorite solution in my CDS making jar, let's see what happens when I crush up a Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) tablet and put it in." It kinda sat and let off a touch of smell. Then I gave it a little stir and it went nuts! Turned the dark yellow/brown and was bubbling. I closed the lid and everything seems normal. Water turned yellow. Reagents turned from the dark to the same yellow as the CDS.....
I tested the ppm or the final product and it is 3000 ppm or a bit over......
So, scientists, what did I make? It tested positive for CL02 (color strips). After you tell me what I made, I'll tell you if I've consumed some....
Thanks!
