Hi all, I bought some CDS from Keavy's Corner and I have some questions on its use. I wasn't able to get anyone on the phone from Keavy's so I'd appreciate your input.

1. On the bottle it says it must be refrigerated, but I left it out by mistake last night. Is it bad now? My house temperature is from 72-76 f.

2. How long does a bottle of CDS last?

3. I'm using it on my teeth to see if I can stop decay. Should I dilute it, or is it okay to apply full strength?

4. Is that safe full strength for my gums? or should I dilute it?

Thanks!

The reason to keep CDS in a fridge is because at 50 degrees F or lower, chlorine dioxide (CLO2) gas will tend to stay in the water solution. Above that temperature, it will more easily outgas which causes the CLO2 content of the CDS to be reduced. Of course, that outgassing problem only happens when you open the bottle.

I mix about 6 drops of 3000ppm CDS with a little baking soda in the palm of my hand adding just enough water to make a paste & brush with that.

One question I have is, is the CDS you purchased have some MMS added to it? If it does, then it is not pure CLO2 in water: CDS. If it does, that may be okay, but I have not seen any testing on such a solution to know its effectiveness or storage life. I am open to knowing how such a solution works, but again, I have not seen any testing results.

The original CDS that Andreas Kalcker designed will keep a long time in a fridge, loosing about half its CLO2 concentration after one year.
