I have quite a picky dog - there are very few methods that I can give him MMS in liquid. Since he's on a raw food diet he basically never drinks from his bowl and he's always refused water when I offer it to him. I've been giving him unactivated drops 8x per day in various liquids, and the only one that he consistently will drink is raw milk. I've tried bone broth and animal blood, but half the time he'll just turn away from it or drink a few laps and leave the rest.

I'm wondering if raw milk is a good or bad substance to use with the unactivated MMS. He likes it so much that I could probably preactivate it and then put it in the milk. Are there any other liquids that others have tried successfully? Inserting it down the back of his mouth with a syringe definitely won't be an option.

FYI I'm treating him for what the vet is calling lupus - it started after he had two teeth pulled out by the vet, and now his nose gets dry, cracked and bloody, and the only solution from the vet is prednisone, which really affects his quality of life. He's 75 lbs so right now I'm ramping up to 3 unactivated drops 8x per day, each time with 1 ounce of liquid (for now, raw milk). I'm not sure if I can go any higher than that dosage.

Cheers,
Ryan

It might reduce CLO2 that should be released from the MMS he is ingesting if his stomach has adequate acids. Jim says milk will do that. To verify, you could make two doses of MMS1, add one dose to water and one to milk and measure CLO2 with test strips. That would simulate what should happen in his stomach.

You can increase dosing until he has a negative reaction, then reduce.

Good idea with the test strips - thanks. I'll give that a try once I get my hands on some.

Cheers,
Ryan
