Our 18 week old kitty was just diagnosed with the fatal virus FIP (Feline infectious peritonitis) and my 12 year old son is devastated. This is his first kitty and I feel so sad. I love this kitty so much also.

I immediately made some CDS with 24 activated MMS drops into 8 oz distilled water. My first time making the CDS; I think I made a pretty strong solution. However, all that was missing was the PPM test strips and now is too late to order.

My dilema is the dosage since kitty is only 4-5 lbs. So, I decided to give her 2.5 ml of CDS twice a day with some water in a syringe. I also put some CDS soution in her water fountain. Even my son said the CDS solution tastes just like water. I took some myself and I was amazed! Am I correct on this dossage (2.5 ml of CDS)?

I read in one of the posts to give 1/4 dose to start with and work up to 4 drops a day. Any advice on the protocol for such a young kitty based on CDS dosages? Can I just give her two dosages a day instead of every hour? When do I up the dosage? Every day? or every other day?

Thank you to Jim Humble and all the wonderful archbishops! Thank you in advance for all your help. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Have you been giving Kitty this much CDS? How long and is there any improvement? Is there a worsening?

My best guess and hopefully somebody that knows better will chime in. If Kitty was really, really sick to begin with and is stable no better and no worse then I would up the amount of "times" given. I, myself would try for every 2 hour dosage. Part of the problem is not know how strong the CDS is. But the good thing is CDS is easier tolerated than MMS! 1ml of CDS at regular strength equals 3 drops of MMS. So....If my math is correct and if your CDS is regular strength then Kitty is getting 7-8 drops of MMS. That sounds powerful enough to me! Perhaps someone else can give better advice? If Kitty is much worse today then I might guess that the CDS is to strong and drop the dosage down but not the times given. The MMS gets used up in the body in 2 hours time. So that should help give you an idea.

The CDS in her water I believe will gas out pretty quickly. Try putting unactivated MMS in. Just a very little bit as you don't want her to turn her nose up at her water.

All the best to you!

Denise, thank you so much for your quick response!

Kitty just started CDS two days ago, on Jan 1st. She seems stable, not getting any better but she is not getting any worse. She is eating regularly and going to the bathroom every day and drinking water but she is not playing with her toys as she used to. She now spends more time sleeping and launging around the house like an old cat but she is only 19 months old today. However, the vet was surprised to hear that she is still eating! I have an appointment with him today to relieve some of the pressure from her big belly.

Now I see, 1 ml of CDS (regular strength) equals 3 drops of MMS! That's what I was looking for. Also, so great for reminding me that MMS is only active within the body for about two hours. In that light I should definitely mix the dosage (CDS and water) for kitty in the am and then administer it throughout the day--two hour intervals. If only I could learn to do this gracefully; kitty does not like the syringe in her mouth. Is there another way of getting the CDS into her without the syringe? Like in a little milk or in her food?

How many drops of unactivated MMS should I put into her water fountain? This water fountain called the 'Glacier Point Water Fountain' has a 2.5 liter capacity with an inline charcoal filter. The bowl is ceramic and there is no metal or copper in it, which is good. But would the charcoal adversely affect the MMS? Or should I just use a regular water bowl?

Thank you so very much!

At this point I would just use a regular water bowl. It will be easier to maintain. Depending on the size of her bowl if it is small I would suggest just 1 drop MMS unactivated and if she still drinks then maybe 2 drops. But be very careful at this point as it is very important that she drinks. If she eats canned food well you can try putting some CDS in there. Or you may have to wrap the poor dear in a towel and administer CDS that way. You may want to have a supply of Band-Aids for yourself! :)

I ought to invest in the Band-aid stock market! :)

I changed her water bowl to a regular bowl and added one drop of unactivated MMS; a much easier solution, thank you Denise!

The vet coudn't get much abdomen fluid out of her yesterday, maybe 1ml, so she still has quite a large belly; however she tested positive for FIP virus. Then he told me to continue what I was doing and gave me a better syringe with a long, curved and skinny tip to administer the CDS and that worked amazingly better and without the Band-Aid... so don't buy any stocks yet.

I did the gatoraid test with 1 ml of CDS and it didn't turn green in 6 seconds which tells me the CDS is not that strong anyway. She may be getting 3 drops of MMS a day instead of 7 or so. I did order the PPM test strips yesterday and probably get here next week. In the meantime I noticed she likes the chicken broth so I put .5 ml CDS in her chicken broth and she drank it all!

Thank you again for your wonderful advice. Continuing to pray to make her well and I'm giving her a little Ormes (mineral supplement) as well.

This all sounds like good news!

Not heard of a feeding syringe like you described, will have to look around for one. Should be a lot easier than the standard one!

Remember, the frequency of doses is more important than 2 or 3 strong doses!

Please keep us advised what happens whether good or bad, okay?

Praying that all goes well and better!
