Greetings, and PLEASE HELP!

I am a monk, living in the remote wilderness of Utah.

After a sudden, emergency trip to a distant vet two days ago, the blood tests just came back and I was told my DEEPLY LOVED 12-year-old DSH male cat has diabetes (high blood sugar level of 417), high liver enzymes, and very low thyroid levels.

He almost died last night. (It was horrifying!)

My only choice is to give my dearly loved baby boy some MMS or put him to sleep.

I took MMS three years ago and still have it (and the 10% citric solution).

Because of a hiking accident that almost killed me, I have no money until next week as I spent it all getting to the vet (who took a post-dated check!) so I can’t pay for Jim’s latest book with the chapter on animals.

Can anyone please suggest emergency doses of MMS for a VERY sick cat? Four hours ago, I made up an eyedropper bottle of one drop of unactivated MMS, mixed with 28 eyedroppers full of distilled water. This would give him the equivalent of me taking one-half of a drop of MMS (but his is unactivated so that he will allow me to give it to him). I have given him an eyedropper full every hour. He didn’t have any reaction to the first three doses, so I just added another two drops of unactivated MMS to the bottle (now with 21 eyedroppers full remaining).

Any advice would be deeply appreciated!

Blessings!!

Thank you, Pam!!

Jim has implied that there are different dosages depending on the animal. Does anyone know what the proper dosage (activated) for a 14-pound cat would be?

Blessings and THANK YOU!

Jim's dosing is 2 drops for every 50 lbs of weight. So a dose for a 14 pound cat would be 1 drop, activated. You may prefer to start a little lower (although, given the severity of it, you may not) - He says to add water - 2 oz for each drop. And dose morning and evening (2x a day)

I usually give my cats 1 drop of MMS activated in 10mL of water (I have a 10mL syringe) - That's way less water than he recommends, but it's easier to get it down the cats.

If the cat has cancer or a really serious disease, he suggests dosing hourly - you may prefer to dose 1/2 a drop every hour for 8-10 hours.

Sorry,

Just tuned in.

Sounds to me like Pam's advice would be good to me! Only suggestion I would have is if activated MMS is a problem try unactivated. I don't know if a cat's stomach is as acidic as a dog's but it is worth a try, you certainly would have nothing to lose if kitty is sliding downhill. This way you might be able to add more drops or more often?

If kitty argues administration of MMS and has energy enough to lick, spray some on her paws so he cleans it off. It may help

Also, if kitty is resting in one area, might I suggest making up a room deodorizer for her. Use a shot glass or something small. Use about 5 drops activated at set it near, not close!, to him. This will help a tiny bit as it will help sterilize the air he breathes and maybe help in some small way.

Herbs for diabetes include: grated carrots, Jerusalem artichokes, garlic, alfalfa sprouts or dried herb, dandelion greens, and onions, dandelion, buchu, mullein, parsley, and periwinkle. Yarrow tea contains some of the active ingredients of insulin and goldenseal can reduce blood sugar levels. Stevia a\also balances blood sugar. It is suggested to give cats a teaspoon to a tablespoonful of dill seed or horsetail grass made into a tea with each meal as well as one drop of stevia and a teaspoon of shopped alfalfa sprouts. This info comes from "Natural Healing for Dogs & Cats" by Dianes Stein.

If you use homeopathy let me know and I will pass on the info for that as well.

Hoping all the best for you!
Denise

Thank you both SO MUCH!

Is it OK to add a few drops of juice from a can of tuna to make it more palatable? (I know tuna isn’t good for cats, but it’s just the juice and of course he loves it!) It doesn’t have any Vitamin C . . .

I’m giving him a full drop of MMS, activated, and most of a tablespoon of water, every hour to hour-and-a-half with an eyedropper (it takes about eight squirts). He had already been drinking a lot of water, when he is able; he can barely move. He hasn’t gotten sick from the MMS, though, so I’m going to keep it up! (His decline was so rapid and so extreme two days ago, that I also must consider that he is being called back to his Maker, but I will not give up!)

Thank you!

We have a cat that size, and she had parasites and blood in her stool and she was sluggish. I merely put the fumes from the activated (2 drops) of mms and (10 drops of 10%) citric acid (before adding water) in front of her. She reached out and smelled it a few times. Few hours later she passed to huge parasites and another one tonight. She has become lively since then. Point is,I just let her breathe the fumes and then she stopped breathing on her own. My wife is a Veterinarian and tutors chemistry. She watched me the whole time. Considering that she has anesthetized hundreds of cats for teeth cleaning, she would have told me if she was concerned about the inhalation of the activated MMS. She loves that cat. Our other cat didn't want any. They seem to know what dose they need. BTW neither of the cats like to drink from the mms water dish.
