EDUCATION: The have become INDOCTRINATION.
Noam Chomsky explains the current education system Faced with the idea that our schools teach democratic values, what really exists is a colonial model of education designed to train teachers whose intellectual dimension be devalued and replaced by a complex of procedures and techniques A model that prevents independent and critical thinking, which does not allow reasoning about what lies behind the theories taught in schools and universities. Chomsky discusses what education should be as large and powerful interests have turned education into indoctrination DO NOT believe in traditional schooling, but IF in Education (Part 01) Cameron culture war Naomi Wolf: The government of Prime Minister David Cameron, announced last year some of the most draconian cuts in the public sector of any developed country government has ever proposed. In fact, his Minister of Education stated that it will cut no less than 40% funding of universities in the UK, but the most shocking aspect of this initiative is that the arts and humanities departments will suffer much more than science and engineering, which are supposedly better for business. The war on the arts and humanities is not exactly new, but this is the first time that the fight has moved so directly to Britain. Ronald Reagan led a wave of political and propaganda in the U.S. in the 1980s that demonized the National Endowment for the Arts (National Endowment for the Arts). Since then, U.S. Republican governments have cut funding for poetry in schools, ballet and sculpture, while demagogues like the former mayor Rudolph Giuliani of New York have achieved political force attacking controversial art. Cutting the budget in the humanities is to advance the creation of a malleable citizenship But the attitude of the Government of Cameron is more sinister than the old tactic of the right to take aim at disciplines that can be ridiculed as decadent. British cuts reveal an offensive in developed countries and has also begun in the U.S. against the types of instruction that lead to a strong and open civil society and a population that is difficult to suppress. In the former Soviet bloc were the works of poets, playwrights, humorists and novelists who codified the forbidden topics relating to freedom and in which the secret police put the watches. Currently, victims of harassment, mutes and torture in places like Iran, Syria, China and Burma. Clearly, neither the U.S. nor the UK have come that far, but the attack on the arts and humanities is a giant step toward creating a malleable and dumbed citizenship. In fact, the war on the arts and humanities in the U.S. coincided with the emergence of a growing population ignorant and passive, and a government to serve business interests. Who needs to study philosophy? For British Prime Minister, no significant The academic world of arts and humanities is infamous for not knowing how to defend the value of their work, but apart from strengthening civil society and the habits of freedom, these disciplines also yield bottom line. Who needs to read carefully, looking for documentation and make a reasoned argument, qualities that the study of poetry, novels, history and philosophy provide? Who needs to study languages and comparative literature? Clearly, Cameron, the answer is this: no one important. Then imagine a future Britain where there are Members of Parliament who do not know what caused the First World War or what was the Enlightenment, journalists who can write convincingly, lawyers and judges who fail to understand its causes and spies and diplomats who do not speak the language nor understand the cultures in which they work. The United Kingdom will look more like America today. In an instant, Cameron (who, in turn, studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, having attended courses that bastion of classical education is Eton) has been removed at a stroke the UK's global influence . Having lost its empire, Britain retains influence abroad simply by force of civilization and education received by their authorities. Letter Argentino video: What if I tell you NOT believe in the school, but if in Education? I want to learn, but I accept what others impose. What if I say that the school is not as good as it looks? That since its inception just say: repeat, ignore and obey. Which was intended by those who dominate the world. Bureaucrats, dictators, bankers, and we accept as many. What the school was always sought to mold people into thinking they are free and independent but the only thing expected of each child of the Earth is that only produce and consume to sustain this system. What if I say that knowing is not necessarily understand? That knowledge is important, absorb information but only makes us more ignorant. To understand is to have lived and experienced. Knowledge is simply to accumulate it. Education serves to grow and develop, School to pass the exam and graduate as slaves. Learning in Freedom is a choice I learn and find out how. School is to repeat the established and silence those who are. Learning in Freedom is know with others and discover life. The traditional school is to deny who I am and be what others would require. What if I say that the School does not think of humans? Because we are only numbers that pass or repeat grades. Hazardous waste sites who do not reach the average. They are punished and stigmatized, making them believe they are less. Because it only leads to a homogeneous group and mass differences killing, dreams and hopes. The truth is we are all geniuses of young children, School asphyxia but who do not meet your requirements. The truth is we really are equal, because everyone, absolutely everyone, we are unique, different and special. Education is learning to be human together, but without a curriculum of a minister or a tyrant. To educate is to see in the mirror and recognize living look at others and find the same. What if I say that the axis of the School is the "ought"? As he navigates the education is to create and "to be". What if I say that the school taught us to survive in fear? And Education is realize ourselves to be full
