Is there any health benefits or harm with taking Sodium Chlorite without activating?

For water purification 2 drops of Sodium Chlorite per gallon is suggested. Then wait 24 hours before drinking.

I have a quart size drinking bottle. Over the course of 6 months I put 1-10 drops per day of Sodium Chlorite nto my drinking water. You may remember from Jim Humble's book, when he first discovered MMS, he was deep in the jungle, where members of his party got malaria. Not able to get to civilization in time, he gave them Stablized Oxygen (sodium chlortie), where he then discovered sodium chlorite aa cure for malaria, which he later named MMS.

So-- given this history-- I thought it would be perfectly fine, putting the MMS, without an activator in my water. I must admite, it did have a positive effect on my health. But now in hindsight, I know doing this for such a long time was a mistake. Eventually, the super alkalinity of the water I was drinking had an adverse affect on my stomach, producing the symptom of pain, whenever I ate. It too another couple of months drinking regular water for my stomach to heal and get over this trauma.

It was then I resigned myself to always using an activator. I guess I was just looking to save some time. I think I was probably on the right track-- especially when I was drinking lemon juice right afterward, which would activated the Sodium Chlorite already in my system. But I did this so infrequently it did not matter.

As for whether or not to use Sodium Chlorite, without an activator, I wouldn't recommend it, unless there was no other alternative. In the early days, Jim Humble cured many cases of malaria this way, even though the dosages were large, this treatment was never for an extended period of time. As history goes, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Eventually he discovered the activator. It's now clear that the times when it did work, were likely when these natives had enough citric acid in their system to act as an activator. When it didn't work, chances are fruit containing Vitamin C was prevalent in their system, which as you know is a de-activator, or antidote for MMS.

So again, I would not recommend doing this. For a while there, I was really worried, thinking I had done permanent damage to my stomach lining. Luckily I recovered.

The recommended drops is 5 to 10 drops per gallon of tap water. I use 10 drops per gallon, for double purpose:

1) Kill pathogens, fungus, bacteria, etc. in the water.
2) It raises alkalinity of the water.

Sorry for the overkill, I want to be 100% sure...

You are saying that JUST adding the inactivated sodium chlorite with NO acid activator would do this?
1) Kill pathogens, fungus, bacteria, etc. in the water.
2) It raises alkalinity of the water.
?

Thanks!

Yes. Just look at a regular bottle of MMS (Sodium Chlorite), and you'll see in the back instructions that say to purify water, you use 5 to 10 drops per gallon ;)

This is what we've been doing at home for over a year now.
We have a "Britta" water filter pitcher in the fridge, and two one gallon plastic jars.
Every time we fill the plastic jars from the unfiltered water fawcet, we add 10 drops of sodium chlorite to each gallon, and put them in the fridge. After 24 hours, the water from the oldest of the two jars is poured into the Britta jar. This water is already purified with the Sodium Chlorite, but of course "dirty" with killed pathogens, bacteria, etc. So the Britta filter takes care of that, and now we have pure/filtered cold drinking water :)
