Welcome to the forum Jon, glad you are here!
I think candida has been one of the major causes of my long term chronic illness as well. I've had severe chronic fatigue, chemical sensitivity and constant gut pain and distress for the last 15 years, in addition to life long allergies and respiratory infections. I started on a new regimen at the beginning of June this year (5 months ago) that is giving me slow, but definite gradual improvement.
I am on protocol 1000+, bag protocol (

I think all of these factors are critical to the improvement I am seeing.
Gut pain and chronic fatigue are slowly going away. Lung congestion is under control if I add in MMS2 when needed. I am a slow healer and there are plenty of us out there. Not everyone heals so quickly.
When you have a long term chronic condition like this, I do think learning to listen to your own body is very important and sometimes you need to change things around.
As far as the iodine, I would go ahead and take it. I have taken lots of it for periods of time and never noticed any help, but other people sometimes do, so you never no.
So long as you are continuing to improve on the MMS regimen you are following, then I would stick with it. Taking more than you need can make you feel worse and you might lose the continuing improvement. With multiple and chronic health problems, it seems that slow and steady with the MMS is the best course. The body needs lots of time to heal and many layers of illness need to be undone.
