Alright, so I just ordered a 4 oz bottle of MMS plus 4 oz of 50% citric acid. I know these can be used to purify water. What instructions would you recommended for purifying 5 gallon jugs of water that have been filled with water at a place like water and ice. I just feel they need to be purified. Like what would be the steps and how much. I know you must mix MMS drops 1:1 with citric acid and let set for 3 minutes, correct? Then I assume add some water to the MMS/citric acid mixture and dump into the 5 gallon jug which already contains a full 5 gallons of water. But how much. Would I be getting some activated MMS whenever I drink the water, just more dilute. Plus, how long would the purifying effect last? Meaning, if the water sits for a couple weeks/months do I need to add more MMS to keep insuring it is purified or just wait until I refill the 5 gallon jugs again? I want to make sure this is done right.
Second, because I have had clostridium difficile infection I have learned that the only thing that can kill the spores of this bug is bleach. Meaning you basically clean everything with bleach, including briefly dunking your toothbrush in diluted bleach to kill any spores that may have gotten on it. Of course, you rinse it off completely after. Can MMS replace this? Right now I have a diluted bucket of bleach in the bathroom with a lid on it that I use to clean toothbrushes plus I also dip paper towels into the solution to quickly wipe down toilet seats/faucets/doorknobs and such? I am concerned the MMS may not be as powerful as the bleach for these purposes though. If so, how would you prepare a small container with activated MMS to be used daily with a lid on it for in the bathroom. Plus, how concerntrated and how long before you would have to replace it? I mean, I can leave diluted bleach in there for a good month before I need to change it.
