Hi rowbot,
You raised a good question about candida and MMS. So lets discuss it further.
I beleive that I also have candida overgtowth but it is only my belief. I could not confirm it. I took a candida symptoms test on the internet and the result showed that there is a very high probability that I have candida. The saliva test showed the same result. So I went to my physician and asked him to test me for candida overgrowth. That what he said, basically: "I know that alternative medicine has this concept of candida overgrowth but we here cannot test for it here".That left me to seek the answers on my own. Thank God for the internet.
1. I tried the diet and verious herbal preparations (enzymes, caprilic acid, cloves, oregano oil, olive leaf extract, bentonite clay, no breads, sweets, alcohol, etc., etc. This alleviated the condition somewhat. But it seems to me that the remedy is worse than the disease if one has to continue this way of life vertually indefinitly. This protocol should be followed for a long time, up to two years. I gave up after three weeks.
2. So I kept searching and trying verious regimens to no effect. Than I found about MMS. I read Jim's books and the website and started protocol 1000. Then I added DMSO. I tried hard to follow the protocol as closely as I could. I never could take more than 3 drops an hour (24 drops per day). And after a day or two on this dosage, I had to cut it back to one drop per hour and start progressing again. I continued this for almost two months but had to quit because I developed upset stomack. It hurt.
I have to say here that some of my worst symptoms disappeared while on Protocol 1000, such as persistent cough, bronchi congestion, headaches, some simptoms of arthritis. Also, my psoriasis, that I have had for almost 60 years alleviated somwhat as well. I am convinced that MMS is a great product. But it appears that I cannot tolerate citric acid. Luckily, Jim proposed CDS i/o MMS. I prepared 8oz of CDS following his video (which is excellent) and am waiting for the test strips to begin a course of CDS.
3. Again, the main problem with candida treatment is that it is not easy to understand or examine if the treatment is effective. So, if the treatment causes some side effects, like die-off effect, and you do not feel well, you start second-guessing. Maybe it is a temporary worthening of your condition or may be you are damaging something inside your body. Maybe it will be a permanent damage. Who can say? You cannot go to a doctor and tell him that you are on Protocol 1000 and do not feel well and please test me. I do not know how to deal with this problem. Hopefully, CDS will be much easyer to take.
But there is another problem with candida as far as MMS/CDS is concerned. I read in many books that when candida overgrows it becomes a fungus, then grows through the intestinal walls and may get into any part of the body. If you read Item 10. Fungus Control on Jim's website you will see that MMS cannot touch the fungus (he is talking about a rare type of fungus on feet, but who knows. Maybe the same happens, or does not happen, to fungus inside our bodies). So, I kept searching for answers.
4. I found a very interesting site, ordered some products from it and began another treatment protocol which I will follow along with CDS Protocol 1000. I do not know if these products will help or not, but the site is different from many other "candida" sites. And the strict dieting is not required if these products are used. So I recommend that all interested members log on to the following website and read the information. If someone decides to try these products, please share your experience with this forum. I will do the same.
