Hi to everyone. I am a newcomer to this forum and this is my first post.
Today I finished my 3rd batch of CDS and on all the batches I made so far a red puddle of some kind of substance formed around the tube where the gas meets the water. Wonder if anybody else had an experience like that?

Yes, not to worry. The gas itself is a brownish color. This seems to precipitate out when the receiving bottle is sitting in ice.

When I poured CDS solution from the big bottle to small 4oz bottles, a lot of gas stayed in the big bottle. Can someone please tell me is that normal or I did something wrong.

Hard to say if you did something wrong, the question I would have is - was the big bottle about the same size as your CDS liquid - IOW, if you're doing 8 oz of CDS, are you using a bottle that holds 8 oz, or something much larger? I know that when I've made CDS, (not using the bubbler and diffusers), the CDS seemed to start to off-gas as soon as it warmed up, which was when I took it out of the ice (which is how we used to do it) - Even Charlotte, who did use a bubbler and diffuser for her batch, said that at the end that she noticed more gas in the air. So you may not have done anything wrong at all.

One of the things I have heard is that there is still ongoing work by Jim and his people to determine the best way to get the most gas out of the mms1/CA mix. I'm sure as soon as they do know, they'll let us know.

How long does CDS last?

I followed the CDS instructional video but used 15 ml of MMS with 15ml of 50% citric acid to produce 1L of CDS with a nice yellow color. I have the CDS refrigerated in a crystal wine decanter with a top on it. I am guessing at the potency which I suspect to be 1ml = 3 drops or less of MMS.

Again, my question is how long will the CDS mixture last if kept refrigerated at a temperature under 11 degrees Celsius?
