If nothing else, reading it will help you to understand some of the biology - it's not an easy diet, I agree (certainly not as easy as just buying what you like at the store and eating) - as an example, you would make a yoghurt that you eat a bit daily, but it has to "cook" for 24 hours, because it increases the probiotics, and removes the lactose - and lactose is a form of sugar that is very hard on those with various bowel problems - but the probiotics are very important - also, you will end up looking at a lot of labels on the foods you eat
. That said, she is very clear as to why the diet works, and I did it for 6 months or so - a number of years ago.
If you like honey, (which is actually digested in a different part of the stomach than sugar), you will be pleased
It is one of the allowable carbs (not in great amounts) -
I think the biggest thing about diets and shifts in diets that make them "difficult" is that we have all gotten used to being able to prepare food quickly, usually it's pre-prepared, and we sort of fall into a "eat your favorite foods without thinking" stance - and this does require time and planning. Once you get used to it, it's OK, but the initial part (we are such creatures of habit! <G>) is more difficult.

Thank you Pam for your advice.
I already have that book but have not read it yet. I received it while ago. I heard that this diet is very difficult and expensive to follow, what do you think? Anyhow I will read it because as you mentioned it would give you some knowledge about what foods and how they effect your body.
By the way my first lang is Persian. But I usually read things in Eng. I am currently living in Australia.
