Hi, has anyone encountered staining of teeth from using mms? I have a permanent retainer (steel wire glued behind my bottom teeth, and this where most of the stains occur.) I use it in my oral irrigator and brush with it. It seem to have killed my bad breath. But curious about staining my teeth?

Hello 5D, sorry I am replying late on this post. Don't know if this can help you but one of my friend suffer the same. She is using some home remedies like vinegar to clean stained teeth. Please use this only if you can stand the taste. As with any dental issue I strongly advise you to talk to your local dentist before trying to deal with stained teeth at home.
It's time to beautify you smile with easy and simple way. Find local dentist and choose the best dental appliance/method for you.

Dentists usually know nothing about MMS or CDS, though, and if you admit that you're doing that, sometimes it will become "the reason" - convenient, odd, out of the ordinary, must be the problem. ya'rite. I've found that a mild abrasive, like brushing my teeth with baking soda and salt, usually removes the "stain" - (which tells me it's something on top, not something inside) -
