what % is 0.1M HCl solution? was created by fuzzy
The HCl I bought says it is 0.1M. How can I convert from moles to percent HCL, so I will be able to dilute it down to 4% HCl?
I emailed the manufacturer but they haven't written back.
Thank you

I searched the internet for a conversion from 0.1M to % and did not find any info.
But I did find this info at Amazon .
"Innovating Science Hydrochloric Acid Solution, 2M (7.3%), 500mL - The Curated Chemical Collection"
If 2M = 7.3% HCL, then 1M = 3.65%
If 1M = 3.65% HCL, then 0.1M = 0.365% HCL.
1M at 3.65% is very close to 4%.
You could try making a batch of CDS using SCS + 1M HCL and measure the CLO2 ppm which should be about 3000ppm.
