Here are links I have on MMS2:
www.lesliespool.com/Home/Pool-Chemicals/Pool-Shock/14676.html . Leslies pool supply is a national chain in the US, get their product in the link “Power Powder PLUS”. They have two products "Power Powder" and “Power Powder PLUS” so you want the PLUS which is a higher percentage. Regardless of what the websites say, it is 73% calcium hypochlorite on the label when you buy it; this is what I use. About $5 for 1 lb.
The highest concentration of cal hypo in a pool shock that we've seen in the US is 78%. Google "POOLIFE Turbo Shock" and you'll find distributors.
www.hydropool.com/cgi-bin/hydro/item/HTH-POOLIFE-TurboShock-78-1-lb-bag-Pool-Chlorine/22405.html One place to get 78% pool shock.
The Leslies pool shock is 73% calcium hypochlorite listed on the ingredients label; on websites they sometimes have an "available chlorine" percentage that is less than 73% but that is NOT the calcium hypochlorite content. Apparently the Poolife Turbo Shock is 78% calium hypochlorite AND 78% available chlorine. These are just labeling differences amoung manufacturers. I will attach a copy of the Leslies label so you can see for yourself it is 73% cal-hypo.
The Leslies works fine at 73%, I just bought a bucket of it. My friends and I have been using it for a couple years. I don't know if the the Poolife turbo shock is available in my local area, at least not as easily as the Leslies.

Thank you for getting back so quick!
Thanks for the info and links.
I have Cal-Hypo with 57%- is this ok to use until I get the higher %?
Also, is it ok to have food in your stomach when taking MMS2? And what about meds?
Thank you for your help!

Here is what Jim says about the MMS2:
So there you go, calcium hypochlorite turns to 100% hypochlorous
acid when dissolved in water. However, you can’t buy it in 100% pure
form. It comes anywhere from 55% to 80% pure.
• In general, don’t use anything less than 68% pure, as the
lower percentage products have clarifiers and stabilizers in
them. But in a pinch, even those could be used, as chemical
companies are not going to poison swimmers.
You could always just try the 57% and see if you are getting a benefit and if so, then keep taking it till you get the higher percentage. MMS2 can be taken with or without food, no particular instructions on that. As far as we know taking it with meds is not a problem, except you probably should separate them by at least some amount of time.
Let us know how it goes,
Michael
