Hi,

Sky and others

This very serious problem began with the Industrial Revolution in England and intensified with the two World Wars. In my humble opinion the cause of Type II Diabetes is a set of things, such as poor water quality, sugar, oils, processed foods, pesticides, pollution. For example, my wife is overweight and has no trace of Type II diabetes and no other fees (blood), high blood pressure etc.. Another example, the fattest man in the world a Mexican (eating fatty foods) has no problem such as Type II diabetes, high blood pressure etc.. We have to take into account these things.

I dont have problems with cashews,or dont seem to,but yes, they are the highest carb nut there is I believe.I do eat peanuts,as they are very high in protein, but aren't peanuts not actually a nut? Bodybuilders eat a lot of peanut butter as its so high in protein, but obviously not the commercial rubbish, just the organic pure peanut butter, which is just peanuts.YumYum!

best wishes sharon

Isnt it crazy?! I watch all the diet programmes such as The Biggest Loser, amongst many others and am shocked and often annoyed with the fact that not many of them have diabetes, despite a very poor diet, but yet I have been careful most of my life and I do have diabetes.

I do have hypothyroidism and VERY low cortisol levels [amongst many other issues] and am a member of an adrenal/thyroid/hormonal forum and the info is amazing! The ladt that owns the forum has diabetes, caused by "doctors."If you have 1 endocrine disorder, you WILL have more,as all components of the endocrine system have to work in harmony, one disorder causes other disorders.Diabetes is an endocrine disorder and as the endocrine system is the most complicated system in the body, its hardly surprising the "medical proffession" doesnt know a lot!

I was told I couldnt have low cortisol,as I am very overweight and was being tested for cushings, which is caused by high cortisol. As I have a round face and a "buffalo hump",I fall into that catagory of a "cushings" but fat people put weight on,on their faces and back! They refused to believe the blood results,as they said I would be "skin and bone" with cortisol levels that low and I now know, cortisol is the only hormone in the body we CANNOT live without,no cortisol means no life! I had a private saliva test done and what do you know,I have VERY low cortisol levels.

Because of my many endocrine issues, this is probably the biggest factor in my diabetes and I am finding it very hard to accept and control. The thyroid is a big component,as we need thyroid hormones for every cell in our bodies, there is no part of our bodies functions that escape a lack of thyroid hormones, none.

We never had such a prevalence of thyroid disease years ago,but we didnt deplete our land of its natural resources like iodine, which is needed for good thyroid function. We never fed any of our food sources, foods that are unatural to them and never used such disease causing pesticides either. We all had high fat diets and ALL diseases were of very small proportion and even unheard of.

Incidentally, our adrenals need a diet high in good fats to function efficiently and I believe our adrenals are responsible for good hormone production too.One part of the endocrine out of balance means total disharmony through the body.

best wishes sharon

A very interesting read! The trouble is,diabetes isnt something you know you have,so you could have it for years without any knowledge and therefore, its harder to treat or "cure".

Funny how our diets years ago used to,not only be high in fat,but also high in carbs!

I live in the UK and "old fashioned" food used to be stews with potatoes and dumplings in them, very high carb! If I ate that now,I'd end up in hospital! We ate a lot of potato and "wheat" based foods like meat pies and we also ate a lot of high carb desserts like jam roly poly and custard!Yum Yum Yum!!! Now,even our salads are not good for us,because of the pesticides used.

But then,if we went back to living "like the olden days" many things in life would be better.

Other insight on this issue.

The Biology of Belief of Bruce H. Lipton

The Biology of Belief is a groundbreaking work in the field of New Biology. Author Dr. Bruce Lipton is a former medical school professor and research scientist. His experiments, and that of other leading edge scientists, have examined in great detail the processes by which cells receive information. The implications of this research radically change our understanding of life. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology; that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts. Dr. Lipton’s profoundly hopeful synthesis of the latest and best research in cell biology and quantum physics is being hailed as a major breakthrough showing that our bodies can be changed as we retrain our thinking.

Way true alfernandes.

If only folks knew to do it consciously!

The fact still remains, put crap into your body, you end up providing the "environment" for the poor outcome.

You are what you eat!

end of story...
