Hello Morris,
MMS does not kill beneficial bacteria because the good bacteria is not negatively charged.
Here is a quote from Jim Humble's book: "The Master Mineral Solution of the Third Millennium":

"Pathogens (disease-causing microorganisms) generate waste
material that is poisonous and creates the symptoms of whatever
disease the pathogen causes. In nature, these poisons are mostly
negatively charged – have a negative Oxidation Reduction Potential
(ORP). Further, the oxidization potential of chlorine dioxide is positive
-- it has to be in order for ClO2 to do any oxidizing. The negative
charge is attracted to the positive charge of the ClO2 and this kills
the pathogen. Of course, the good bacteria make no poisons and
have no negative charge."

You can download the 1st half for free or purchase the entire book here:

I have been using MMS / CDS for over a year now at higher doses than the maintenance dose and my good bacteria is fine.

That is helpful - but her question specifically mentions MMS2 - do you know if the same theory applies?

To be honest, its hard to tell for sure.

But, people that get sick usually lacks probiotics in the first place. So I always recommend taking probiotics afterwards and to everyone It can't hurt. The best probiotic is kefir. Best site with information about is this: users.sa.chariot.net.au/~dna/kefirpage.html

That's very good idea. I make raw milk kefir using kefr grains from that site - the best probiotic around.

"Of course, the good bacteria make no poisons and have no negative charge"

Is this verifiably true? The good bacteria must produce something, and we are talking about killing bacteria, not only their poisons.

So if antibiotics kill good bacteria, why cannot MMS? I am just thinking about starting MMS.

MMS2 is actually something we make in our bodies - hypochlorous acid, which is used by the immune system. Sometimes we don't make enough of it.

adi, yes, it's verifiable. That said, if you are concerned, let me recommend a good probiotic - Theralac www.theralac.com/default.aspx

Antibiotics are a whole different ballpark, and do not work the same way as MMS.
