Has anybody ever tried the PCR Blood Test? My understanding is that this will test for the virus dna. Using samples of your blood they can determine if your blood cells test positive for the HSV2 DNA. It is also my understanding that the body will still test positive for HSV antibodies (But why is this a bad thing?) When did having proof that your body is or has fought off a virus a bad thing? But thats our medical establishments way of making you have a negative cognition associated with the only one cure for all disease....YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM! With that said the PCR blood test is expensive and has not been approved by the FDA (But that will never happen); however, this is more accurate than the blood antigen test and will actually test for the HSV2 virus dna. Eventually, you might also test negative for the blood antigen test, because this test basically test for the number of HSV antibodies found in a sample; so once the body has stopped producing as many antigens (since it has no virus to fight off), it may test negative based on the number of HSV2 antibodies found (You can have HSV2 Antibodies present on your blood antigen test, but still be considered negative as long as it under the number that they have designated to say you do or dont have the virus btw this number may vary depending on what pharmaceutical drug is needing to be pushed). Hope this helps!
