Are you using Plain Seltzer water with the Bentonite Clay? Either just seltzer, or some added?
Are you drinking water afterward to clear your throat?
You should probably drink A LOT of water.
You could try organic honey for your throat. I get the Bear squeeze bottles and take a squeeze
whenever I start coughing or get an itchy or scratchy or dry throat or it feels like I need it.
I also use Ricola Herb Throat Drops, Natural Cherry-Honey, which help a lot.
They're difficult to find in stores in my area for some reason since the Pandemic.

If you're still this bad, I would probably keep using a Nexium-like product until I got better.
Are you aspirating into your lungs?
Or just "burping up acid"? All day, during the night when you're sleeping and it wakes you up?
You weren't very clear in your description about details.
I sometimes take a Tums before I go to bed at night "just to be safe" and this has
helped me, although I am doing MUCH better these days and for years now.
I think a "McVegan" diet would probably go a long way to helping you.

I don't know about fasting. That doesn't give your stomach acids anything to do.
And, although Apple Cider Vinegar does good stuff, I wouldn't take any more acidic substances.
