Been battling LPR - a form
of GERD - now being coined Respiratory Reflux (RR) by Dr Jamie Kaufmann who claims to be the pioneer in the diagnosis and study of LPR - as well as coining the term LPR. This started outta no where for me in Aug ‘22 with a sudden deluge of post nasal drip. After a couple months went to an Urgent Care where the PA told me allergy and prescribed an antihistamine. I’ve had hayfever for decades and had a couple years of allergy shots 25 years ago so thought OK makes sense. After another month when antihistamines didn’t work, I saw an ENT who scoped my nose/throat/vocal cords and told me it was reflux. I had already been on Nexium for a couple weeks. He said to continue it for a couple more weeks and stay away from the usual foods - coffee, alcohol, chocolate & tomato sauce etc… I have avoided these for months now. Have tried everything - low acid diets, Apple Cider vinegar, betaine HCL & probiotics, fasting etc… My voice has gotten very hard to use as its either inflamed or mucus coated. Do a lot of wheezing. Been on the beginning MMS1 protocol for two weeks. Some of the nasal drip has subsided but the feeling of something wrapped around my vocal
cords and dry mouth, dry cough etc.. hangs tough. Raised bed 6” for a week but no real difference. This does seem worse at night then in morning went first awaking. Tried Bentonite Clay today - and the taste doesn’t really bother me but it dries my throat out even more. Lost here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. This chronic condition leading to anxiety and depression. Considering Wellbutrin…Help?
Oh I should add that the bone on bone osteoarthritis in my wrist thumb joints in BOTH hands which began coming in 25 years ago has improved 50-60% in the past two weeks of protocol 1000 - well 3-4 drops 3x daily. This is a miracle as I am weeks away from deciding to have cadaver cartilage put in these. But the throat/speaking thing hasn’t been helped yet. Considering getting back on Nexium. Thoughts?
Are you using Plain Seltzer water with the Bentonite Clay? Either just seltzer, or some added?
Are you drinking water afterward to clear your throat?
You should probably drink A LOT of water.
You could try organic honey for your throat. I get the Bear squeeze bottles and take a squeeze
whenever I start coughing or get an itchy or scratchy or dry throat or it feels like I need it.
I also use Ricola Herb Throat Drops, Natural Cherry-Honey, which help a lot.
They're difficult to find in stores in my area for some reason since the Pandemic.
So I order them from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LKVMCE
If you're still this bad, I would probably keep using a Nexium-like product until I got better.
Are you aspirating into your lungs?
Or just "burping up acid"? All day, during the night when you're sleeping and it wakes you up?
You weren't very clear in your description about details.
I sometimes take a Tums before I go to bed at night "just to be safe" and this has
helped me, although I am doing MUCH better these days and for years now.
I think a "McVegan" diet would probably go a long way to helping you.
See my website, link below.
And several small meals throughout the day and don't eat after say 7:00 pm.
Or maybe a Potato MonoDiet.
I don't know about fasting. That doesn't give your stomach acids anything to do.
And, although Apple Cider Vinegar does good stuff, I wouldn't take any more acidic substances.
Maybe some of this info will help or give you some ideas.

Not aspirating into lungs - just throat/voice box affected so far. Lotta mucus/drainage which DOES happen to protect those areas from damage.
i have tried that exact honey as well as authentic bee honey using is slightly warmed water.
Had covid in Feb ‘22, took two doses of Ivermectin over 3 days then, not sure it did anything but lost my sense of taste ever since. Wondering if all this drainage - which began eight months later may be related?
Also have tried curcumin & keyon red pepper in luke-warm water sometimes with honey & lemon. This loosens phlegm up a bit but comes right back. May get back on Nexium for a few weeks while taking a break from MMS but have read while it can help classic GERD, it doesn’t touch LPR as pepsin is released regardless. If this is allergy would think the MMS would have nailed it. Possible its damage that needs to heal which could take a month or two but seems it should be healing by now although my diet hasn’t been consistent.
Have read more docs are treating LPR with antidepressants as the gut is the second brain and people with a lot of anxiety produce a lot of acid. Once the anxiety drops so does acid production. Most of the people I know with GERD - and there are several - are all type A, high strung, anxiety ridden cases, which fit the profile.

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
