Hi jmac,

I use a spreadsheet calculation that via Goal Seek arrives at 142.9 ppm for 1 drop of 3K ppm CDS in 5 ml water, so your "rough cut" calculation method got you in the ballpark.

My reason for asking the question was basically alarm at such high concentration, after personally feeling that nebulizing 25 ppm (and occasionally 50 ppm) both with and without DMSO contributed to acceleration of the pulmonary dysfunction I'd been fighting. I'm now with Andreas with regard to breathing CDS, based on real world personal experience.

Hi, Hushai

I just made a batch of my nebulizer mixture, which is 5 ml of saline solution and 5 drops of 3000 ppm CDS. I then tested it with my LaMotte High Range Chlorine Dioxide test strips, and the result is between 10 and 25 ppm of ClO2.

I guess our calculations were wrong.

By the way, I never have any adverse reaction to using my nebulizer mixture, and I don't use DMSO. I just use it to eliminate any pathogens that I might have inhaled.

Hushai,

After thinking about it for a while, I decided to check the ppm of my CDS with the test strips. Turns out it is weak. I'm going to make a new batch of CDS and test it again.

Your calculation is correct, 5 drops of 3000 ppm CDS in 5 ml of saline solution would be 143 ppm.

Good show, jmac!

I thought about replying that two witnesses against one leaves the one suspect, and spelling out a 3rd, different method calculation but didn't get to it.

Fwimbw (just in case you weren't aware), refrigeration is key to keeping CDS potency, and I've also learned that the Italian-made FIDO jars have much more CDS resistant seals than the Silicone seals on the Chinese me-too products that Walmart sells. Ask me how I know...

Another Fwimbw that bears repeating for whomsoever, the LaMotte Insta-Test High Range Chlorine Dioxide test strips resolution accuracy seems best at a 1:29 CDS to distilled water dilution ratio, where 3000 ppm CDS then matches the near-midrange 100 color. Of course a 1:59 ratio would match with the true midrange 50 color...

10-8-22 UPDATE:
Yay, I'm pretty geeked; continuing with (TYJ) resumption of cycling (and now in Snowbird residence where the 5 degree hill resides), I find my lungs are recovering/developing faster than my legs! As a rule of thumb, a cyclist chooses a low enough gear such that his/her "spinning" eases the burden on leg muscles until the lungs (i.e., shortness of breath) become the weak link. Thus far my resumption of training has (predominantly) been with my lowest "granny gear" on said 5 degree hill, and it has been my legs that, even with the effort minimization of my lowest gear on this modest slope, have cried "Uncle" first. Call me a grateful Browns Gas Believer. I continue use of CDS in the mornings, several hours after awakening from my Browns Gas sleep cycle, and am grateful for both Simple Molecular Medicines . CDS, btw, is an awesomely effective (~1/month) underarm deodorant for those who haven't yet realized so.
