Refrigeration is always best because the ClO2 will dissipate faster the higher the temperature.
It also depends what kind of container you use. It needs to seal tight and be air tight.
Every time you open the container, some ClO2 gas will escape into the air and
the solution's potency will dissipate, but it is usually fairly slow most of the time.
I try to leave my containers open to the air as short a time as possible.
How long they last also varies depending on various factors.
You should be able to keep a closed container of CDS in the fridge for months.
MMS maybe a week or so depending.
