I was just wondering if anyone knows if it matters what type of DMSO to purchase for making the protocol 1000 plus. It recommends to put 1 drop in each dose of mms right before you drink it. I bought mine through Amazon (from pet supply store-99% purity)
when I received it I read the back of the bottle and it's scaring me by saying it could burn my skin and many other warnings. If I drink it with each mms dose will this burn my insides? Do I need to buy a different kind of DMSO? Please help me if you know!

Unfortunately, we don't have a very good selection of DMSO here in the USA and the USP grade stuff is way over-priced and needs a prescription. Lastly, most of the cheap DMSO over here is China based which probably is not good, but I am still of the mind that any DMSO is better than none. It is that non-toxic and good!

DMSO will not burn skin, it will draw water out of it and dry it out. It can also cause some itching in some people

I just obtained a copy of Dr. David Williams' book, "DMSO, The Complete Up-to-Date Guidebook' (1993). In it I found interesting that he said the only difference between industrial grade DMSO and pharma grade was this:

"Basically, prescription DMSO goes through two procedures that "over-the-counter" DMSO doesn't.

1) it is sterilized by filtration.
2) it is pyrogen tested.

To sterilize DMSO, the product is passed through a very fine filter that removes any particles the size of bacteria and larger. Most researchers, clinicians and medical professionals consulted, questioned the need for sterilization. If you remember DMSO is bacteriostatic at concentrations of 35% or above; at these concentrations, it stops bacteria growth.

Pyrogen testing is a costly and time consuming procedure. A pyrogen is any substance that causes a fever. To test a batch of DMSO for pyrogens, laboratory animals treated with the drug and then their temperatures are monitored on a regular basis. This procedure is felt by many to be another instance of FDA "overkill". Most informed authorities agree that pyrogen testing is definitely not necessary for DMSO intended for topical use. Many even question its necessity for DMSO used to treat interstitial cystitis by catheter."

I say to this, if this is true, one can easily filter over-the-counter DMSO with .22 micron filter set-ups and save hundreds of dollars. When choosing a filter material to filtrate DMSO, it is good to know this:

DMSO is incompatible with polysulfone, flexible and rigid PVC tubing and polycarbonate.

It is moderately compatible with polystyrene and ECTFE/ETFE.

It is compatible with LDPE, HDPE, polypropylene, PPCO polypropylene copolymer polymethylpentene,
nylon and teflon FEP type filters.

Hi Polo,
Are there any DMSO vendors that you can recommend?

Thanks,
Scott

This suggests the possibility that CDH / CLO2 is a potential LIFESAVING MRSA cure, VRE cure, CRE cure, AMR cure, Ebola cure, HIV cure, Cancer cure, etc., since it appears to be safe intravenously at 50ppm.

- Every ml of CDH contains 1 drop of MMS, so 1 drop of MMS = 1ml of CDH
- MMS is 7 to 10% activated in 30 seconds while CDH made with 4% HCl is about 50% activated in the bottle. This is why CDH is far less nauseating than MMS drops

99.9% pure DMSO means there is .01 water in it.

Just as 70% means there is 30% water in it.

We mostly use the cleanroom grade - which is the 99.9% pure. To get to the 70%. we add distilled water.

This is one brand of DMSO that I have and the only one that states:
1- Purity
2- Percentage of dilution

So, my understanding is that this bottle of DMSO is 99.9% pure, meaning that there are 0.1% impurities, and is not diluted with any water.

As an update to my previous post regarding the quality of this brand of DMSO, I put it in a 40F fridge, not a freezer, and it froze solid like a big ice cube. I have been told that the fridge freeze test is an indication that one has real DMSO.

And here's my bottle of 99% pure DMSO. It may be 99% pure but after putting it into the fridge at about 40F, it DID NOT FREEZE SOLID as JB13's did but instead half froze so that it was kind of slushy. Based on that, I think it's about 50% DMSO and the rest is water:

So the lesson to be learned here is that you need to know more than the purity number. You also need to know the percent of DMSO in the solution.

Take care,
Scott

POLO, I would disagree with the above statement. I have tried DMSO on my Northern European lilly white skin and I can assure you it does burn, not just itch. I have to wash it off with water or aloe vera right away.

I have been told that some types of skin will tolerate DMSO better than others. Mine must fall into the "others" category.

Scott, can you enlighten us on this issue?

Thanks.
