ppm question for activated MMS was created by larrymagee
Hi - I'm on a daily maintenance dose of 6 drops. I make activated MMS the old-fashioned way - MMS drops + CA drops, then add pure water. I like the taste of MMSA and make it pretty strong using only about 1/2 cup of water. I've no idea what the ppm is. Is this okay? It sure is easy and tasty. Thanks...

hello larrymagee

Just checking, do you wait for at least 3 minutes for the MMS to become activated before adding the water?

If you are using 50% citric acid, the time is 20-30 seconds. If you are using 10% citric acid, like lemon juice, lime juice or vinegar, the time is 3 minutes.

There are some variable in drops and ppms. We can pretty well guarantee the PPMS going down in CDS, but in MMS there is still some activation that occurs (and releases additional ppms) in the stomach, with stomach acids. A traditional drop of MMS has about 8ppms when activated, but there is more activation in the stomach, which will bring the ppm count up. CDS is completely UMMS/CA together and completely activated (the chlorine dioxide is completely released into the distilled water) prior to the dose going into the stomach.

I use 50% CA. I let it activate for 20 seconds, add distilled water, wait 3 minutes and then drink it. Someone on the forum told me to do this. Getting back to my question, is ppm anything I need to concern myself with when taking 6 drops in 1/2 cup water. I could take it in less water, if needed.

From what Pam wrote, maybe I don't need to wait the 3 minutes after adding the water. ???
