Can I test MMS2 with MMS1 test strips?

I tried to test my mms2 in water for ppm with chlorine dioxide test strips (MM1 itest strips). It seemed to work perfectly and seems to be in the right range and all. Do you think I am getting correct info?

High Steve and James, standard pool testing strips well the ones we have, only test for the chlorine level of your solution. The way i test my MMS2 is, every new batch goes to the laboritory for analisis, we do this as a precaution. Sorry i can't be more helpful.

78% pure calcium hypochlorite with 2.5 gallons of water. I use the water to disinfect veggies, etc. down here in South America (Bolivia). Could you calculate for 100 PPM.

According to my MMS1 test strips 1/2 to 3/4 of a teaspoon gets in the above 100 ppm , maybe up to 150 ppm for at least the chlorine level (like Amanda Mary said). Hard to tell on the stripe for sure. But if the chlorine leves are this high it would seem that it would kill most anything.

Anyways like we all said, the strips for mms1 may not work for the MMS2.

I am not sure if you check the chlorine levels or calcium hypochlorite levels, but just let me know how much I should use to be in the 100 ppm range like the articles you sent me for all the big manufactures that clean produce with cal hypo.

Any updates on the amount of MMS 2 to use for the veggies, etc.?
