Test Strips Turn Dark Rusty Red was created by Arrow
I purchased Chlorine Dioxide test strips from La Motte, code number 3002. Last week I made CDS and tested it and it came out 3,000 ppm just fine turing the appropriate color of bluish green.

I made some more last night and tested it this morning and the test strip turned dark rusty red. So I went and restested some of the sock I made last week and it tested red too!

What is going on?

Ive kept the test bottle sealed and dry when not using.

I know now what I did wrong! I forgot to dilute the stock with 60ml of water and add one ml of stock to that then test.

Duh!

All is well now.
