I've used DMSO quite a bit for sore muscles, sprains, strains, bruises, etc.; and, this is what works well for me:

I keep 2 sealable spray bottles around: 1 w/ 1 (measuring) tsp. of 68% Calcium Hypochlorite (bought in pound bags, as Ortex brand pool shock) in 8oz. of distilled water. The other is 50% DMSO (99%) and 50% distilled water. First, I spray with the CH/MMS2; then, right after it dries, I spray with the DMSO. I swear by the stuff; since, my 2 lowest disks are bone on bone; and, I've got fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial pain. Between the 3 (and not letting them keep me from doing all I can), I fall a LOT. (I also use the CH spray for cuts, scrapes, etc.)

Is there any downside to keeping a ready made bottle of DMSO mixed with water?

I was thinking of buying a spray bottle and mixing it ready to use at any time, however I have noted that when you mix DMSO and water it starts to become warm so there much be some chemical reaction taking place, which I'm not sure is useful or not in applying right away. I do have to say it feels nice to apply DMSO and water when it's warm.

Since when you buy a 70% solution of DMSO, it's mixed with 30% water, and they sell it that way all the time, I'd say there should be no downside - just be sure that you use sterile/distilled water.

DMSO works so well on my neck. I've had pain there for many years and nothing ever helped much before. I haven't tried DMSO + CDS there because the plain DMSO works so well but I have used it on other parts of the body and it doesn't burn when first applied like DMSO does. That makes me think it would be better to do DMSO first to get it's full benefit and then spray the CDS after the burn stops in about 10 minutes. The DMSO that was previously applied would still drive the CDS into the tissue.

I think to get the full benefits of DMSO there is a kind of routine to using it. Doing the right things in the right order.

I just tried some DMSO on my back today but the effects didn't feel as good as previous times.

I think the big difference was I hadn't had a shower today, whereas the previous time I applied DMSO shortly after a shower.

I think when you come out of the shower and use it your pores are opened more, you're cleaner, etc.

So you could well be correct about using the DMSO and CDS in the order you say.

I added DMSO to Activated MMS and water used for a mouth wash - my teeth feel totally different with the DMSO added - very smooth even after brushing three times.

Without DMSO my teeth would feel really rough after using MMS but with DMSO my teeth feel like polished marble.

I finally tried MMS spray followed immediately by DMSO on my neck. The pain relief works just as well as with DMSO by itself. I didn't get the sunburn pain effect on my neck becuase the water in the MMS spray must have diluted the DMSO.
