99.9% is the purity, not the dilution. You can have 70/30 dilution and still have 99.9% pure DMSO. I don't think adding distilled water to reduce the concentration is considered an impurity.

Here is the label on one of my bottles of DMSO.

Hi, I will have to check on that.
The DMSO I have is from tao of herbs.
Here is a photo of it.

Thanks.

99% DMSO is not diluted.70% is diluted.both are DMSO.the dilution may be water, aloevera .stick with water dilution.I dilute to 50-60% DMSO.even 70% DMSO will burn skin.

I have a bottle of DMSO from WPS4SALE. It says 99.9% Pure. But the dilution is 70/30 (which is all they sell) even though it does not state so on the bottle. You should check with the company you bought the DMSO from.

That is not correct. The 0.1% part is something other than pure DMSO; impurities.

Distilled water is not an impurity. Adding DW will dilute the DMSO, not introduce impurities.

The following from hannelore.sander is correct:

Recall that MMS2 % of calcium hypochlorite commonly varies from ~58% to ~73%. The rest are impurities.

I buy from my Keavys corner - I know theirs is good - they are on Jim Humbles approved supplier list.
I would not want to buy from any other kind of place, even if one could find it cheaper and I don't think that's possible. I have no worries.

I bought my DSMO bottle in a horse supply shop. The next day when I wanted to use it, it had solidified. That would mean, that it is not diluted, because water would not turn to ice at 16 degrees Celsius. The MSDS lists the Melting Point of DSMO at18.4 degrees Celsius/65 degrees Fahrenheit. So if you are not sure if you have bought diluted DMSO just sit your bottle in the fridge and observe what happens
