Hello premer007. It´s sad that your son is aenemic. Is he low in energy also? When he´s special needs, you could ask Kerry Rivera for a consultation, she´s familiar with MMS, and with dietary advice both.
She treats autistic children with MMS, and a proper diet.
About MMS affecting the level of iron I´ve never heard, nor found any reference of such in Jim´s book.
I can only offer my own experience with MMS and Vit. B12 plus the risk of iron shortage. I´m taking 6 drops before sleep every evening, since the start of Nov. 2022. As a maintenance dose, feeling good.
Since I´ve tried a vegetarian diet for some time, resulting in Vit. B12 shortage, in my case, in 2018, and early 2022, I´ve used a Vit. B12 supplement, a dosage of 600 once a day. Also in the months of Nov. and Dec. 2022, without noticing any effect of MMS on my intake of this supplement.
I was sensitive to iron shortage, had to swallow large iron pills when I was about 6 years old, followed by a warm glass of milk, with 2 more of the same every day, ughhh! at that time, the iron pills affected the stomach too much, hence the amount of milk lining the stomach wall.
After that cure I´ve never had any problem, also because I choose a varied diet, so that it´s most complete and wholesome, since 1973. I´m 72 now. My energy level is excellent, except when I noticed the symptoms of Vit. B12 shortage, not eating meat. As soon as I ate chicken liver for 3 days, all was well again. Quite amazing. Animal organ meat contains a rich amount of minerals and nutrients.
There´s a peculiar problem with iron absorption, in that no matter how much iron one ingests, like the food you´ve mentioned that is rich in iron, the body cannot absorb it well. Physical activity improves the digestive process, and circulation, as you know.
I´m eating meat again, now, 2 or 3 times a week, my conscience isn´t troubled by it. I do know that many doctors on my country, The Netherlands, receive young people in their practice, who´ve chosen a vegan diet, or raw diet, complaining about fatigue and concentration problems. Vit. B12 shortage is more frequent than ever, and for children in their years of physical development it´s important to eat well
As a nutritionist, I know that iron and Vit.B12 are related, since Vit.B12 supports the cellular transfer of substances such as nutrients, oxygen, etc. Hence the symptoms of weakness, a sense of fatigue, brain fog, and lethargy in general, when there´s a shortage of Vit. B12. Iron shortage shows up with similar symptoms. And so, these two should be checked both, in order to see a clearer picture. Does your son love to eat meat? How is his diet? I noticed you changed to a vegan diet. Was this the cause of your son´s aenemic condition maybe?
When it´s the case that you feel cautious in both directions, so to speak, I suggest contacting Kerri Rivera. Good luck with finding a solution!
