I started out watching You Tube videos on microbiology and the micro-biome and wound up here.

This is my first post, I do not have a lot of knowledge about chlorine dioxide, and it will soon show. I will no doubt reiterate what many of those that said previous. The US Military developed a tablet which is easier, in the field to create, rather than mix sodium chlorite and an acid solution. I found that same tablet that the military created, are in a commercial product, that creates chlorine dioxide in hikers tablets, for purifying water. I also know that chlorine dioxide begins to evaporate quickly into chlorites, and salts and expelled in the urine

On the package of the commercial water purification tablets states, it kills all viruses, bacteria and protozoa. They call for a wait period to ensure it kills the bad stuff in the water you scooped up from the pond. Surely some traces of it must still remain as we drink the stuff. Because we are 73% water some of this chemical contacts some bacteria or virus and will affect it.

From CNN News on Influenza A February 5, 2018, 53 dead

www.cnn.com/2018/02/02/health/flu-weekly-surveillance-feb-2/index.html

Two scientists Ogata N. and Shibata T., state what everyone knows. The lack of efficacy of vaccines and the pharmaceuticals explanation of the "herd idea". Their theory of how someone that is vaccinated could still develop disease, was because we were not all vaccinated, sounds more like a snake-oil salesman. We all have to take Tylenol so that we will all not develop a headache, and because we are not Doctors, how could we ever understand?

This research paper, in which I provide a link below, of what they found, low doses of Cl02 70% below the minimum of what the government deemed was the turnover point from being safe to unsafe. A .1 ppm is the borderline, their concentration was at .03 ppm, it killed the influenza A virus at these low concentrations. All ten mice that were given an aerosol spray of the influenza A virus died, the ten that were given the aerosol spray of influenza A virus and Cl02 gas all lived.

I do not think whether its ingestion of Cl02 by gas through our lungs, or by our stomachs, the chemical is absorbed and circulates around and around in our bloodstream colliding with viruses and bacteria way to small to see.

This is the link;

The convenience of Cl02 gassing is obvious, it can be automated as soon as an aircraft lands. Once everyone is sitting in a theater, and before they leave the theater? The entrance and exit doors everyone is given a quick gassing, at malls?

Whether the influenza A virus, knows whether its beginning to live in a human or mouse is irrelevant, this low level bleach, as some like to call it, is still going to kill them and not harm the host, at low levels.

This next study talks about airplanes and how we should use chlorine dioxide.

Here is another study, but this time for a six month period. Dr. Norio Ogata was again one of the researchers.

occup-med.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1745-6673-7-2

Conclusion:

CD gas up to 0.1 ppm, exceeding the level effective against microbes, exposed to whole body in rats continuously for six months was not toxic, under a condition simulating the conventional lifestyle in human(s).

Thanks for the reply CL02. As far as I know I suffer from no sickness or illness, I am just curious. It appears that even at low levels of 0.03 ppm, possible residuals from a town that uses Cl02 for water purification, would be beneficial. However a person may possibly be ingesting 0.0003 of Cl02, from the towns water supply, because it disintegrates quickly over time. At these low rates it may no longer be beneficial, but no one knows. It makes sense that the 73% water that is within all of us, can be purified, just as much as the water that is outside of us.

I think there is proof enough that even at low levels, it is effective against viruses. I do not think the influenza A virus knows it is inside a human, mouse, dog, coffee cup, jar, bowl its not going to be different, the dose of 0.03 ppm will affect it.

Is there any way to test to achieve a close approximate of 0.03? I heard someone mention Lamotte Cl02 test strips. Is their someway of knowing that you are below .1 with these strips?

I found that very interesting, in the link that you sent me, CL02, about how the absenteeism of the students, dropped from 4.0% to 1.5% in the room that the Cl02 gas generator, room deodorizer, was placed. I did not know that they had Cl02 gas generating room deodorizers.
I followed the footnote to this abstract here.

www.academicjournals.org/journal/IJMMS/article-abstract/FDB503B428

I googled Cl02 gas generators, I came to the link below.

www.beckart.com/chlorine-dioxide-gas.php

The statement, second paragraph, "This product is designed to oxidize smoke, pet, and other odors at the source."

www.beckart.com/wastewater_treatment/airrelief3001.php

Smells from, bacteria, fungus and mold, it oxidizes them? It must mean that the smells are not masked like an air freshener but are eliminated at the source?

They did not publish the price on their site, probably pricey, I filled out the e-mail form, and asked about the car and basement deodorizer.
Waiting to hear back from them.

Those Lamotte CLO2 test strips will give you a rough idea of CLO2 concentration. For more accurate measurements I use a photometer and reagents. This is for measuring CLO2 in a water solution, not in air.
