From my own experience I suspect CLO2 to interfere with Iodine levels. After periods of cleansing with MMS my voice is kind of "suppressed", sometimes to the point of there being no point in saying anything at all.

While investigating the matter there were not many alternatives to pick from. So hyperthyroidism was the suspected cause. Today I know symptoms disappear in merely days after I quit CLO2. But I did start on Iodine supplement (Lugols). And guess what, same symptoms (?!)

Well, too much Iodine can in fact cause hyperthyroidism, and probably Iodine taken without Selenium can as well. Because Iodine uptake depends on Selenium. Anyway, reducing Iodine dosage and adding Selenium has my voice sound as it always did. Exept for when I'm on a CLO2 cleansing!

Other chemicals known to interfere with iodine levels are fluoride, chlorine and bromine. These 3 chemicals are so called "halogens", as is iodine, and are known to "compete" with iodine for uptake in iodine dependent organs.
All 4 chemicals in the halogen group, including Iodine, are oxidizers btw, fluoride being the strongest, and Iodine the weakest.

Corroborating evidence of Chlorine Dioxide interfering with iodine levels: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/4009737

From this follows that first choice treatment for hyperthyroidism should be Iodine supplement, not chlorine dioxide.
