Just a quick update. Scruffy is doing way better this morning. I do not hear any sinus congestion in him today and his eye has just a little bit of drainage in it. He is able to hold it open most of the way now!

It is so great to hear such wonderful news.

Do you think Scruffy will make it into your house out of the barn? :)

This is encouraging for my cats and me too in a number of ways.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful healing progress.

It would be nice to have him in the house but I already have 4 indoor cats and a dog!

Currently I have 4 cats in the house, but no dog, though I would love that too (however, my cats might feel differently). :) Right now, the cat I adopted in February is having difficulty accepting the cat I adopted last month. My other 2 are adjusting to the new family member well, and I trust the other one will get over his jealousy (he should remember when he first came my other 2 cats did not chase him).

Do you feel your other 4 cats and the dog won't accept Scruffy? Or do you feel Scruffy would have difficulty with them.

I seriously need barn cats. They do the best job of mousin' Also, the cats inside have been hand raised from day one. They are 3 years old now. I do not know if they have a good immune system from their mother's first milk or not. Their momma was kicked by a horse and aborted the babies on the cement floor. By the time I had gotten the call from the owner 2 babies died and 1 died after I had gotten them. One kitty remains very very thin the other 2 seem fine but even one of them seems to have issues of not feeling good from time to time. Perhaps it's heart is not good. The 3rd one is just peachy but know idea of the condition of their immune system. The remaining 4th cat is an older cat. The other problem is the husband and I just cannot tolerate any more fur floating around the house! The kitties get a constant brushing and there are covers on the furniture that get washed once a week but it is still thick at times. The 3 kids are long hair and are enough to manage!
