Story at-a-glance
>> There doesn't appear to be a single population of any significant size in the history of the world who survived on an exclusively plant-based diet, so from a health perspective, there’s little support for the strict veganism idealized today.

>> Veganism involves the complete exclusion of ALL types of animal products — not just meat and animal organs, but also products obtained from live animals, such as dairy and eggs. It also excludes seafood.

>> A vegetarian diet that includes some animal foods in the form of eggs, dairy and fish, makes for a healthy balanced diet that supplies all the critical nutrients your body needs for optimal health.

Also, this video interview talks about Veganism and Vitamin K2, an important vitamin many people are not aware of.

I know one thing that anyone needs to know that pursues veganism/vegetarianism or a 'normal diet" and that is that to date there has been some mention of "Phytic Acid" but no one really explains it to you fully. I wil ltell you a few things tha thopefully allow you some magnitude and context to then assess your position on any of it.
DuPont sells an enzyme to chicken and pig ranchers that allows them to give cheap grain feed to these animals that otherwise would not (CANNOT) eat grain. Ranchers would not spend money unless they had to or unless it makes them even more money (AGREED?). OK so if the ranchers do not include the enzyme the animal nutirnet absorption of the grain feed is 8% and the animals all get sick and lose wieght BUT if they add the enzyme to the grain then the animal nutrient absorption moves to 80%. So animal is healthy and rancher can even use LESS feed. Take a moment to appreciate the numbers and the scenario.
Guess what? You have the same digestive system as the pig. Guess what you are eating the grain but don't produce near enough of that type of enzyme. Guess what? Your ancestors ALL ate grain all the time BUT they always soaked the grains or sprouted the grains and when cooked into baked goods used iodine NOT bromine so even more phytic acid cooked out slowly instead of our now fast cook world.
So this is why you should only eating sprouted grain or soak your grains in slightly acid water for 12 or more hours and/or supplement with phytase --- the alternative is having Phytic Acid burning your entire system causing inflammation 24/7 and it is an acid that can easily rot the teeth out of your head ---- this is not a minor acid and not a minor detail it is the major systemic cause of chronic inflammation across the population from all product made form seed, grain, nuts and guess what? It has 6 other stealth names as a food ingredient so its many, many places hence the need to probably supplement phytase. Vegan or vegetarianism is fine BUT do nto attemt it without respecting and understanding this NOT minor fact -- the seed wants you to poop it out so it can be successful -- you must remove its poison to consume it.
