When I mix just 1 drop MMS with 1 drop activator, it seems just yellow in the glass (before water), but if I do 3 drops it seems darker (amberish). Does it sound like I've got working MMS?

CLO2 Offline Administrator Posts: 5561 Thank you received: 4393	Yes it does, and you should smell something, too! If you tilt the glass so all the liquid pools into one small spot and look through it, it will be a darker color compared to allowing the liquid to spread out over the bottom of glass.

CLO2 Offline Administrator Posts: 5561 Thank you received: 4393	Sounds right to me. The more drops you add the darker the color. If you make a 3 drop dose of MMS1 and add 4 fl oz (120 ml) of water, measure CLO2 concentration with LaMotte test strips. You should get between 25 and 50 ppm. MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
