No, that will not work. Calcium hypoclorite powder goes into capsules and is then called MMS2.

You will need to buy liquid hydrochloric acid. See Buy MMS link at the top of this page for sellers.

I think we are talking about two different acids.

Calcium hypochlorite powder Ca(ClO)2 (MMS2) mixed with water yields hypochlorous acid (HOCL).

Hydrochloric acid (HCL) is a different acid that is used to activate MMS (sodium chlorite solution) releasing chlorine dioxide gas. That new solution is called MMS1.

You cannot make HCL acid (hydrochloric acid)

You can buy it at sciencecompany.com in 500ml size. It comes as 10% solution.

Hydrochloric Acid is stomach acid, my husband takes 3-7 drops (of 10%) in his drinks, prior to meals to settle his stomach, you can buy tablets at the health food stores too.

It's mixed drop per drop with sodium hypochlorite solution (28 grams powder mixed into 1/3 cup water) to make MMS1.

Calcium hypochlorite powder is put into a size zero capsule - only filling half way, and taking one capsule on an empty stomach with distilled water. No more than one capsule per hour, or 5 per day.

You must buy a gram scale, there's no way around it, but it is available at the grocery store for less than $10.

MMS1 is made from 22.4% Sodium Chlorite Solution from Sodium Chlorite powder or flakes, not sodium hypochlorite, which is Clorox Bleach! How-to-Make 22.4% SCS

Thanks for the tip on taking a few drops of 10% HCL for digestion before meals. I will try that as I have that problem.

aaahhhhh.....of course, slip of the brain too finger mechanism!! sodium chlorite ~ not "hypochlorite" wish I could edit it...

Are you saying they now promote 22.4% instead of 28%, which is what is in the book I got at Jim Humbles school in Puerto Vallarta..? He was teaching 28 grams sodium chlorite powder/crystals added to 72 grams distilled water (which meansures out to 1/3 cup, easier to measure).

I read about taking HCL drops for digestive issues in a flyer called Healthy Habits, a pharmacist named Suzy Cohen wrote about it, and by golly taking HCL before meals really works. Seems as we age we loose the ability to make stomach acid, we think it's acid reflux as all the symptoms are the same, but sometimes it's just low acid..

The supplements are called Betaine Hydrochloride some are with Pepsin.

28% by weight is correct for the salt, but since sodium chlorite is 80% of the 28%, then the actual amount of SC contained in the salt is 22.4%. (28 x 0.8 = 22.4) Read the PDF linked in my previous post which was written by Steve for his explanation. Also, he includes a simple way to calculate how to mix any amount of SC powder or flake you have with the appropriate amount of water. Too easy!

WOW, loved the link to the stomach acid you sent! Amazing.....eye opening....as my husband got a auto immune disease about 10 years ago, then prostate cancer (yeah HIFU - for the cure), and now I am thinking he got those because of low HCl. Seems like everyone would take the test to see if they are deficient, we certainly will at dinner tonight......I mean he says....HCl " is the agent responsible for the acidity of the white cells and the maintenance of a normal pH......what's not to love?

BTW, I'll stick to making small containers, just measuring out 28 grams weight sodium chloride and adding it to 1/3 cup of distilled water. I actually package up a bunch of 28 grams in baggies so it's ready to go. I get the math on the 22.4%, makes sense.
