davisito Topic Author Offline New Member Posts: 15 Thank you received: 4	Hello. Can chorite lose properties? I am traveling and at some point there has been a leak of chlorite because the pot has broken. It doesn't smell strong and when I use the acid it doesn't change. Thank you.

If you add acid and it doesn't activate, then yes, something has happened to the sodium chlorite - don't know what, but something.

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
